I want to pull the trigger on a Carey Price for Matt Duchene. Would you?

There are goalies in our draft who i can pick up.

duchene will be a 75-80 solid center every night

carey price will also have solid numbers helping the habs 4th or 5th seed in the east

I'd go with Duchene. He's not in his prime yet, and will only continue getting better. Landeskog is expected to make the Avs lineup this season, and would only bump Duchene's numbers up.

But really, it depends what your keeper team lacks. Does it lack good centers or goalies?

Our pool is based on a salary cap. I think Price's value is highest right now so unloading him would make sense as he will become an RFA after this season. Big contract next season.

I guess same goes for Duchene (RFA at season's end). If I make this trade, I won't have a goalie, but I value goalies a little less than forwards and I I can draft a goalie in our draft.

The Canucks have never won a Stanley Cup title. The Leafs, however, have not made the playoffs since the NHL lockout in 2004-2005. The Canucks have only missed the playoffs once since the lockout in 2007-2008. The Leafs have not done anything significant since the expansions and are nobodies to say anything about how the Canucks have performed.

The last Stanley Cup the Leafs have won was back in 1966-1967. This is prior to when the Canucks entered the NHL. So really, we're comparing apples to oranges if we're talking about the far distant past. If we're comparing the new NHL, the leafs have absolutely nothing on the Canucks except for a one ball, one season wonder.

I'm so tempted to feed the troll right now.

Because Burrows needs the money from these signings. He signed a super discount contract compared the the other guys. Edler knows he's up for a big contract extension too.

Yah, cuz when the Leafs won all their cups, there were 6 teams in the league... must be nice to go into every single season knowing you have a nearly 20% chance of winning the championship every single year no matter how bad your team is................................. and the Leafs still won fewer cups than all the other Original 6 teams except the Rangers... so they even sucked in that era comparatively speaking!
