I think Jagr in todays NHL can still be a solid top 6 player good for 60-70pts at least.

Fist person to go should be AV, out-coached in big games, does not adapt well, and well most importantly couldnt motivate his team in game seven for the Stanley Cup. Instead we catch him leaning against the glass chewing his gum.

The only one who outcoached AV was Luongo, and we all know he's not going anywhere

The report indicates Jagr would also be interested in playing with the Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers, Washington Capitals or Montreal Canadiens.

Even for 4mil id sign jagr. I dont see AV ever giving ballard a fair chance to play. Once your in the doghouse its hard to get out. Ask SOB, i loved the guy but didnt sit well with AV so he had to go. Ballard i think is np exception. Posted via RS Mobile |

We have been told, off the record, by multiple sources inside True North Sports and Entertainment and the NHL that a team name for Winnipeg’s new NHL franchise has been decided on, and that name is the Jets.

There is a better chance of a good goalie getting hot in the playoffs than a mediocre goalie getting hot.
Other than Thomas, Rinne, Lundquist and Price there isn't anyone else I would take over Luongo. These quality goaltenders don't grow on damn trees. I'm pissed off about Luongo's mental game just as much as the next person, but look at the goalies the Canucks have had in the past....DO NOT WANT Philly's problem!

price not close to luongo's level yet its the montreal canadiens defense making him look good just how they made halak look unstoppable.
thomas
rinne
lundqvist
broduer
are ranked ahead of luongo, canucks fans should be lucky they have top 5 goaltender and 2 art ross trophy winners on this team.

If he wants to retain both Ehrhoff and Bieksa, it'll be tougher to find Kesler a decent linemate unless he's willing to unload our prospects plus more.
If he only signs Bieksa on the other hand... We're wide open and can probably even sign Richards... Which I wouldn't mind because Richard can take his spot on the point on our PP, and we still got Ballard and Tanev, just need to find one more guy to fill our 6th spot.
