Gilbert Brule, Draft Year:
GP70 G39 A48 P87 PM169 Playoffs: GP6 G1 A3 P4 PM8

vs

Sidney Crosby, Draft Year:
GP62 G66 A102 P168 PM84 Playoffs: GP13 G14 A17 P31 PM16

I know points aren't everything, but you'd have to be pretty fuckin stupid not to pick Crosby.

shawn79 10-02-2011 02:54 PM

crosby will be the best player we will see in this generation

i never said he was better or as good as crosby. im just saying brule was good in the juniors and a bust in the big leagues.

mb_ 10-02-2011 03:14 PM

Another proof that rushing a player into the big leagues is a huge ass gamble. Crosby doesn't count.

I truly believe if CBJ didn't rush him and developed him properly, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

shawn79 10-02-2011 03:19 PM

CBJ cant develop any players properly

spideyv2 10-02-2011 03:24 PM

CBJ is full of fail

Sturm hit was ruled full body hit with incidental head contact. Edler exonerated because Hall lowered head "just prior/simulateous" to hit.

:ahwow: niceeeeee

Fuck yeah, Shanahan!

spoon.ek9 10-02-2011 05:06 PM

HELL YEA! i always felt that Hall likes to lean into shit. the onus is on HIM not to do shit like that.

:fuckyea:

Is there a video for this?
Shanahan should make videos on what ARE clean hits too,
explaining why the "victims" had it coming.

Although I like the idea, that would mean Shanny needs to spend even MORE time to get everything out there because there are so many "borderline/controversial" hits every day.

Well, I was thinking at least just in the beginning until the cases become repetitive.

I personally would like to hear an explanation about Sturm's hit.
Since everyone on other hockeyforums are comparing it with Smith's hit.

People are going back and forth with their opinions/theories on why Smith got suspended, and why Sturm should/shouldn't get suspended.
But if Shanahan explains it, that's absolute then.

Even if he retires due to his concussion (not likely), he would have already
accomplished so much in his short career... He's an incredible player.

More like taylor hall charged right into Edler's elbow, just how he charged into Bieksa's knee. :lol

Good call, had Hall kept his head down and kept going, he would have been destroyed by Edler's shoulder, the way Edler usually explodes up and back in his hits. Hall's head was up and he saw what was going to happen and tried to duck out of it but cutting out of the corner but didn't have enough time/space. In doing so, he put his own head into a vulnerable position after Edler had started the motion of his thunderous destruction.

I also took exception to the call on Oreo's solid hit on Nugent-Hopkins. Refs called a charge, but Oreo clearly glided in and caught the kid with his head down on a clean hit. RNH acknowledged not looking up later on too.

that person must be retarded
no one is better than sid the kid
if crosby didn't get injured last season he would've beat the sedins in points
so i guess canucks fans are happy about that lol
