You sound like a TOR fan. You're indifferent to your team's success or lackthereof.
BTW, just because you can suck more Canuck-dick doesn't make you the better fan than I am. In fact, people like Darthchilli, Murdoc, etc. and me (the people you make fun of) were probably more emotionally invested to the team than you... Because, I don't know how you can just turn another page and have the "oh, just another season, more to come" attitude. Go fuck yourself and your Canuck pedestal if you think you're better than some of us. I mean for fuck's sakes, who the fuck are you?
Some of the guys "of the group" you're making fun off have been around since the original Official RS Canuck Thread. Who the fuck is Tubbyboi? Sounds like you're just a new Canuck fan (most likely because of a successful last few seasons) because you don't know what it means for some who are 40 years waiting.... and some like me who are over 2 decades waiting... But hey, be thankful you get to wait a little longer, whereas for us who are up there getting in age, its gotten to be a hell of a long and agonizing wait.
new fans
Lol right, you win, i lose. I am a bandwagoner, a new fan just cause i wasn't in this forum from the start. Didnt know that my tenure in this forum determines if i bleed blue and green. I apologize that my will to move on from the LAST season and the many seasons before that make me a smaller canuck fan then you. C'mon, seriously?
I apologize if i offended you and you're group of die hard fans, but just because i appreciate the season that has passed doesn't mean Im not as emotional as you are with the team.
Regardless though, it's clear we don't see eye to eye in what we call a successful season. That's fine but never....never call me a fuckin leafs fan

The shit people say/do when the Canucks lose
Relax guys. The Canucks/Luongo are known for slow starts till November/December. This isn't NHL on PS3 where the team goes 82-0.

Didn't know we time travelled back to a day where people used the word "hella".
woot, got our tickets vs. Panthers and Lightning for January roadtrip.
Canucks attacking faceoff circle lower bowl row 5 for both games
$43cdn vs Panthers
$76cdn vs Lightning
incl conversion and all e-shipping/processing fees from Stubhub
Just need to book our return flight from Tampa and a rental car, then accommodations. $120us to fly from Seattle to Orlando
The 5th goal was soft too, I thought. Savable...but Lu wasn't in a good position. They just caught up and tied the game with momentum on their side but one minute after the 4-4 goal, Lu lets that one in and it takes the wind out of everyone's sails.
There's been all this talk about how Lu is better positionally now so he looks less impressive than he did in '06 when he would make ridiculous saves because he was caught out of position. That might be true statistically but I'm thinking most of us would take '06 Louie (he was epic against the Stars in that duel with Turco) over what he is now.
And I'm not a Louie hater either...I still believe in him but tonight's game was at least half his responsibility as at least two of those goals were very savable.
Oh well, three games people. The sky isn't falling yet.

he's lost a bunch of his athletic ability he had back in 06
not like he's actually won a game on his own in a while anyways
i dont know if he's lost it.
but yeah i get that feeling he hasnt stole a game on his own for a while. but then again, the canucks now are a MUCH better team than when he first arrived, so the team doesnt have to solely rely on him (back then we just suffocated the opposing teams offence it seemed)
also with him being better positionally, he doesnt have to be all over the place...like tim thomas

Physical ability lost? No, not really. Mental stability issues? Bingo. He'll go through stretches where he'll save everything in sight and then he'll proceed to fall apart for 3 weeks with constant mental lapses. Luckily for him, at least as his statistics are concerned, is that he's been able to be good for longer periods of time up to this point.
His on-ice body language is troublesome to see especially when he lets in a weak goal and you know that he knows it when he lets out his "body groan" for all to see. Not a particularly nice sight to see as a fan watching nevermind the team in front of him.
The bar he set for himself was so damn high with that dominating first year, 47 win campaign that he'll never reach those levels again and truth be told, I believe a huge chunk of his critics now come from denial in thinking a goalie could play like that (if not improve upon) season after season and instead, all they see now is a huge, unrecoverable fall from grace that has crippled the team to the hip for 12 more years.
As for Schneider, he has proven himself to play games outside of back to backs. It'd be nice to see him in a crucial game.

You sound like a TOR fan. You're indifferent to your team's success or lack thereof.
Indifferent? Is rioting how Canuck fans show they aren't indifferent? :troll:
In all seriousness though, how can fans of any team, which has amassed as many championships as the Leafs, be indifferent to success? Before the Boston Redsox won a championship, in 2004 after an 86 year drought, would you have described their fans as indifferent to success or lack thereof?
Toronto has a reputation for being one of if not the toughest hockey markets for players because the media (driven by the fans) analyze and hound players for every single thing done or said on and off the ice. If a mistake is made, that player is going to hear about it till the cows come home. Don't forget, it was a Leaf fan who threw waffles on the ice in disappointment with another loss. Another great example of fanatical behaviour stemming from disappointment: A lot of Leaf fans and the media still go on and on about Kerry Fraser and his missed high sticking call on Gretzky during the 1993 Western Conference Finals more than 18 years ago. To this day Fraser gets criticized or even threatened for that with no signs of letting up.
Being a fan during the low times is what its all about. To call fan support for the Leafs indifference couldn't be further from the truth. All the years of disappointment, all the years of bad trades and undrafted players (hindsight is 20/20 mind you), all the years of ridicule and hate from other hockey fans, all the frustration, make being a loyal fan difficult. Everyone wants to see their team succeed, and some of us know you have to pay a price to get there. Years of disappointment have taught me to be cautiously optimistic at best, humble, and patient. Don't mistake that for indifference. I just think of it all as a test. Going through all the crap and still coming back for more will make success, when it eventually comes, all that much sweeter.
Too many missed opportunities and no capitalization on the PPs...
GG though

Sorry, I meant to say no capitalization on the last 4 (consecutive) PPs during the third. Two of those PPs even had one Flyer with a broken stick, essentially making those PPs a 5 vs 3.5 on the ice for a short period of time.
