Change the phone's keyboard to Japanese...it has tons built in.

So how is this years team compared to last?

haven't followed NHL since June 15th so have no idea.
First year in about 10+ years of watching that I'm not following.

Game changed when Howard saved Burrows on the breakaway. Gotta bury those.

If I remember correctly, the Canucks were also 1-2-1 last year after 4 games. Meh.

:seriously: why would you not follow the regular season? You don't get to ride with the team in all the highs and lows. You don't get the anticipation of seeing where the team will finish and who they play in the playoffs, if they even get there.

spoon.ek9 10-13-2011 10:52 PM

^ yeah, it's just not the same when you join the party only once it's playoffs.

i'm sure we're all sour about last year's loss but i'm not sour on this team at all. our window to win still exists. support our boys!

yeah... when you join during playoffs, that's what you call a bandwagoner. hahaha

spoon.ek9 10-13-2011 11:01 PM

to be fair, there are actually people who are too busy to follow the entire season. but there are of course a lot of bandwagoners..

I guess it came out the wrong way. Of course i'd still follow the team, but just not as much, like trying to make time for every regular season game, or get worked up after every loss. Even though im still pretty young, it seems like ive been following the team for a while, long enough to know that its the postseason that really counts

I'll always be a fan, but its still a little hard to get over last years final loss

First healthy off-season in years, and DiPietro can't catch a break. Puck to the mask in practice Wed leaves him with concussion. #Isles
haha jeebus Ricky. Between him, Connelly and Salo, they need to invest in bubblewrap

So sad that Asham's taunt was ripped on by the media, and he ended up having to apologize, calling himself "classless"

We need MORE of that shit in sports, not LESS!

Are you serious? This is hockey, not the UFC

I don't know about you guys, but this regular season matters very little to me.

Especially after last year, I think as long as this core remains, no regular season will be interesting. These guys have NOTHING to prove in the regular season. The same questions will pop up throughout the season: Is Luo getting enough/too much rest? Sedins too soft? Team too soft? What will Gillis do about the fourth line? Can we stay healthy?

None of it matters, they will all be judged based on their performance in the playoffs.
