Mostly no shows tonight. Whiffs on the chances you get and even with 32 SOG it was a pretty easy shutout for Elliott.

Sssss didn't let 3 goals in 5 minutes.

We will see how Lu plays on Saturday. :troll:

next game is with the caps. They're undefeated lol.

Not really racist! 10-26-2011 08:37 PM

Schneids didn't play horrible but didn't play spectacular; if only Kesler's first post went in in the first :fuuuuu:

kwy 10-26-2011 08:42 PM

We hit a couple posts. Elliot definitely had luck on his side.

I wouldn't say the team didn't show up..there were alot of shots that hit the posts.

Elliot just had luck on his side.

mb_ 10-26-2011 08:54 PM

Damn Luongo, it's your fault we lost! :troll:

kwy 10-26-2011 09:05 PM

SkinnyPupp, come at me. I don't see how that's a fail worthy post. We did in fact hit a couple posts. They went past Elliot, and he had no control over the pucks. That's called luck. This game could've easily gone the other way.

Harvey Specter 10-26-2011 09:13 PM

Snooze fest of a game and 3 shots for the first line? And what's up with Hamhuis and Bieksa? They must be the worst pairing defensively for the Canucks right now.

So you think the Canucks played a good game, but just had some bad luck hitting the post? :seriously:

4chinit 10-26-2011 09:18 PM

lol, there is no "luck" involved in hitting posts

jeedee 10-26-2011 09:20 PM

...kwy never said luck involved in hitting posts.

He meant Elliot got LUCKY that the post hitting shots didn't go in.

SkinnyPupp 10-26-2011 09:23 PM

So the goalie had good luck, rather than the Canucks having bad luck? What?

If one of the goal posts went in, it would be 3-1 instead of 3-0... And? They still played like shit. Daniel had ONE shot attempt.

Elliot had good luck. Canucks had bad luck. Simple concept, really.

Yes, the Canucks were outshot and outplayed, but they still had a few good chances. There were two posts, not one. So 3-2..that's a close game, and like I said, it could've gone either way.

Daniel is not the organization. Everyone has their good nights and their bad nights.

The Canucks have 20 other players to score. Not just Daniel. I don't expect him to get 10 shots a game, but it's not like every time he plays, he'll score.

Not sure if you watched the game..but in the 1st when it was 0-0, Kesler had a shot off the post.

What IF it went in? It would've been 1-0. The momentum would've been on the Canucks side. The game would've had a different outcome for sure. Who knows though.

Don't forget the Canucks played a game at Edmonton a day before. I'm not surprised they played shitty. Anyone that has played hockey knows that playing 2 games in 2 nights isn't easy.

Can't really say that 'cause if we got the first goal instead of them, it probably woulda been a totally different game.

too many know it all / negativity in this thread after each lost

The Canucks are having a series of problems right now. It's becoming consistent with passing blame on a whole slew of players since it's not specifically one facet of the game that is hurting them right now and they are losing differently with each game. Sedins have not been good at all despite their point totals. Hansen, backend pairings, Luongo, complete off nights with special teams, playing from behind, lack of goal production, etc.

They're too good a team not to figure this out eventually but it's hard to play catch up in the standings..

jeedee 10-26-2011 09:55 PM

I don't get why people are panicking so early into the season...

Teams that didn't make the playoffs had 5 months to recover. They're the teams that are at the top of their divisions and conference standings as of right now [but not for long :lol]

For the Canucks, this was the SHORTEST offseason for them ever. Having only 3 months to recover isn't a lot compared to other teams getting 4-5 months. It's going to take a few more games/weeks to hopefully see last years 50+ win squad. Some players [aka Luongo] are still taking time to re-adjust. I can guarantee not everyone on the team is 100% [game-wise and mental-wise NOT injury-wise] yet after last season's finals.

The Canucks have always been known to be notorious slow starters in October. Come back in December and complain if they're still doing bad then.

Bonka 10-26-2011 09:58 PM

Who says we're all panicking? Just analyzing their games played thus far is all :fullofwin:

Go here for panicking :troll:

you also cannot disregard that this was a back to back game. tough game to watch, oh well, move on. 2 days to practice and rest before playing the caps on saturday!

spideyv2 10-26-2011 10:18 PM

Skinnypupp - how long have you been watching hockey for? Just wondering..

Like jeedee said, season is still young. Hold off any judgments till midway or april.
