What IF it went in? It would've been 1-0. The momentum would've been on the Canucks side. The game would've had a different outcome for sure. Who knows though.
Can't really say that 'cause if we got the first goal instead of them, it probably woulda been a totally different game.
So Daniel would have gotten more than one shot attempt? Because the puck went in?
The team played like shit. They have played like shit for this whole season. They have been shut out THREE TIMES. TWICE at home. All the "puck luck" in the world isn't going to help when your #1 d man is THE WORST MINUS PLAYER IN THE NHL and your goalie is playing like an ECHL reject, and your top scorer is getting ONE shot in a game.
There is a lot this team needs to fix. Scoring one goal against the Blues is not it.
NO fucking hard work and a lot of it.
I remember coming back all the time because they never gave up.
It was almost expected. Thats how we got #1 and canucks are playing nothing like last year

Yes, we had a lot of strong 3rd periods, but playing catch-up hockey is exhausting and no fun.
Last year, we scored the first goal 49 times (out of 82 games).
This year, we've scored first in 2/10 games. That is not a stat to be proud of.

Its called momentum. If kesler scored that goal it would of been a totally different game. Unless u forgot about how we dominated the NYR, if luongo stopped that first goal it would of been a totally different game aswell. Like any sport, a bad pass, a lucky punch, a good bounce can change everything regardless of how bad or good uve been playing
Im not denying the fact that the canucks are playing like shit and have alot of things to fix, but it seems like u dont believe that a lucky bounce can change the outcome of the game. In hockey scoring first is big. They call it "Game Changers" "Turning Points" "Play of the Game" for a reason Posted via RS Mobile

Is this going to be a repeat story like what Pens went through?
Suck -> Fire Coach -> Enter Bylsma -> Stanley Cup Finals -> WIN
not entirely accurate. they sucked ass which gave them high picks like crosby, malkin, fleury, and staal. they went to the finals first and lost to the wings. the next season they almost tanked it so coach was fired and bylsma got promoted. he then turned the team around to make the playoffs and win the cup.
The Canucks WILL pull it back together. Obviously coming back from a loss in game 7 is tough mentally..plus they've had a lot less rest than the teams that didn't make the playoffs or got cut early. Expectations are high, and support has already weakened early in the season. The bandwagoners are temporarily gone. Adjustments will be made, lines will be changed up. Like a few people have already said, October is historically not a great month for the Canucks.
If you don't support the Canucks, get off the bandwagon and stay the fuck off. Otherwise, be patient and support your team. Good things will happen.

You know there's a difference between playing with the lead and playing from behind right? It's a mentality thing.
You can't predict that the score would still have been 3-1 if we got the first goal. Butterfly effect?
There's a reason why they say the 2 goal lead in hockey is the worse. Players slack more when up 2 as opposed to up 1. Posted via RS Mobile

but at the end of the day, these if's didn't happen, and I don't think its fair you only account for the what if's for your team, but you ignore the other teams "what if's" I didn't watch the game but I'm sure the other team had scoring chances or hit some posts but no one seems to ever cares when its the other team. But regardless lol I think everyone needs to chill out just a tad bit I understand most people here are very passionate about Canucks hockey but you gotta realize its been 10 games, there are 72 to go. Lets not over analyze the small sample size of a season, where Brian Elliot and Ali Montoya are Vezina candidates and Phil Kessel just won the Maurice Richard narrowly edging out James Neal
Marc Crawford on Canucks goaltending issue on OTR right now
The problem is more EXTERNAL for the hungry leeches in the media
The goaltending gets more blame than expected
Management cannot be afraid to ride schnoo if he is playing well
Overall, the team is playing bad, the goaltending gets no help whatsoever

As a whole, the Nuck's played like crap yesterday. We just need to give the team some time to work out some of the bugs including the power play. Once everyone is on the same page, things will get better.
BTW, the Bruins are 3-5 right now.

oh shit i remembered this all wrong. I thought they fired him and hired bylsma just before playoffs happened.
Or was I thinking of another team? Did that even happen at all to another team or am I crazy?
That was bizarre tho. Make it to cup final. Get fired early next season.
