Sounds like Jeff Carter might be a bigger bust with the Columbus Blue Jackets than Anson Carter was. :troll:

I don't know if I will call it just yet because he's been injured for most of the season and with a new team.

.......

Or it could be because he's in my pool

:alone:

If he really is a cancer then screw it. I dun care how good he is.

I was sick of the Bertuzzi locker room stuff and was glad it was over when he got traded. Don't wanna hear about that stuff no more.

I always hear team 1040 talk about how Bert was a cancer in the locker room, but I never heard what he did.

Just like how Pat Quinn screwed Bure, but no one every talks about what it was that was done.

DanHibiki 11-18-2011 09:51 AM

I heard Bert and Nazzy and maybe others of the core would keep to themselves most of the time.

Also some of the players didn't get along with him.

I remember that defenceman we had at the time tell some reporters....forgot his name but I think he wore #26.

Contract stuff. They kept underpaying him throughout his time here or something.

It was in his book I think. I remember reading about it in detail online.

they try to rip bure off because he was a kid... pavel didnt like to be looked down upon, he knows and the people knows he is the best player in the NHL at the time but canucks didnt agree with him.

seems like the canucks are a busniess team more than anything, if we dont win the cup with the sedins and this core kiss your chances of a stanley cup good bye in vancouver :fuckthatshit:

I dunno. With Aquilini as the owner now there seems to be even more emphasis and commitment on winning.

This seems to be the case.

Aquaman is dumping loads more money in scouting and development of players. As specially with Gillis at the helm, I expect good things. You hear about nutrition specialists, sleep specialists and the renovated Canucks room. All of this add together to making a good environment where players can thrive.

I would like to put an emphasis on scouting that has dramatically improved over the past few years. Although it is still a little too early to tell but it seems as though we are drafting more quality players.

Remember Patrick White? Yeah, where's he at?

We had a defenceman who wore #26?

Only #26 I remember is Trent Klatt.

I think most of us heard how much of a cancer Carter is but as a comparison, look at what we've accomplished with Lappy. I'm sure a lot of us were :suspicious: when we got Lappy and he's done well for us. I'm not saying we should absolutely trade for Carter but who knows what might happen if he were to play here.

The Stars ownership team he heads up includes a group of former and current NHL players such as Shane Doan, Mark Recchi, Jarome Iginla and Darryl Sydor.
Any conflict of interest there that Shane Doan and Jarome Iginla are current players for other teams?

Lappy looks great almost everytime hes out there. great bottom 6 player.

I think you got the cancer term mixed up. Carter is a cancer on the team in that he parties too much and creates a riff in the locker room.

Lappy is a hated player by the other team because he plays that annoying weasely role as a 4th liner. He's doing his job to perfection. There isn't anything about him being a bad teammate and someone that hurts the chemistry on a team.

i know the difference. i was just making a somewhat similar comparison :)

lappy has a pretty bad reputation amongst refs as a diver, yapper and shit disturber. but yes, in terms of team chemistry, lappy > carter for sure.

Some of you guys are getting the term "locker room cancer" wrong.

I remember reading an article darthchilli? posted and it talked about how Bertuzzi and Naslund had their own cliques and everyone else had theirs.

Henrik confirmed it and mentioned how today's team is all one group. Before practice they talked to together, and after they went out together as a group. This never happened during the Naslund/Bert era

Even Higgins and Lappy said when they arrived here everyone on the team welcomed them both to open arms, no other team was like that Higgins said

There are somethings u can't hide. Take the example when Burrows the Dragon Slayer did hs deed. That celebration was so emotional and heartfelt in that you have to believe that the group is one

I got a little bored...and made this...
