Because Rinne was so solid in the series against Nashville, Luongo couldn't afford to let any stinkers in... same with Boston, except Thomas was better.
Umm Lu WAS a proven goalie. These past few years he is just another goalie in my opinion. Luongo WAS NOT an integral part of the playoffs in my opinion.
Was I watching a different playoff run? The wins luongo got under his belt were not due to a spectacular performance on his part
I do not recall one game that Luongo stole a game for us. Please enlighten me of such game(s) to put my ignorance to rest.
I'm not putting all the blame on Luongo. But, his performance in the playoffs was far below what we should expect from a top five goalie in the world.
^ I was replying to the part where he said Luongo never stole a game in the post season I'm not here to defend whether luongo is a top 5 goalie or not lol

I am not going to jump on a guy who's down like Luigi is right now. Hopefully, he will answer the bell when his turn comes up. I hope our team smartens up a bit on the back end.

I know you're trolling, but I think he means current goalies.
PS: Dryden? I know he's revered but he only ever played on a dynasty team and called it quits pretty quick.

Luongo had 4 shutouts in last year's playoffs.
Luongo was pulled twice in last year's playoffs AND was opted against twice as starting goaltender. Shoulda been 3 (for SCF gm 3) if the dude's wishes didn't have so much weight on the coaches' calls.
That being said, it's not like I've ALWAYS been a Luongo hater... it's just that he's not the same athletic agility-based goalie anymore.
That being said #2: it's not like Schneider has ever done a full 82 long season so even though he's proven his peak is currently better than Lu right now, whether or not he can sustain it for a full season is still highly questionable; and all everyone can do is speculate with nothing but a small sample size as a basis.
