wow.. it's hearsay but i wonder what gillis would be willing to give up to get ryan. |
interesting.... get errr done MG... if the price is right |
they dont need a goalie so start with hodgson,1st rnd pick +++. i doubt we make a play for him though |

thats good enough for me as its not 100% and only speculation. Keep it that way i dont wanna lose a core piece of the puzzle to fit that 5mil cap that most likely means burrows is part of the puzzle. cuz theres no way its gonna be roberto |

Raymond today "I'm never going to be 100% again" IMO we need to get rid of players who can no longer ever play at 100% ie. Raymond/manny Posted via RS Mobile |

Let's be realistic guys... we're gonna have to give up some of our core to receive a player like Ryan.. making trade proposals with players we don't need is completely out of the question right now.. |

are we still in the void for that top6 position... fitting that cap is the issue here. like the article says, INSTANT HELP means asests the canucks can potentially move. I dont think goaltending is that big of an issue in Anaheim. |

Ducks are struggling financially so I wouldn't at all be surprised for something like prospects and a mayray/manny. |
^ Problem is that we don't have the cap room. For Ryan to fit in our cap, we'd have to give up something like MayRay AND Manny -- I'm not saying that Anaheim would take that trade. I am merely suggesting a near equivalent salary hit. Manny has a limited NTC anyway, and our defensive game would suffer hugely if Manny left. |

kids 24...haha |
The thing with the Ducks right now is they are already up against an extremely tight internal budget and they need depth. They don't want to trade Getzlaf or Perry, so Ryan is an option to bring back some depth for them. Ducks wanted Comeau on waivers but had to pass due to their internal budget and had to wait for Hagman to be put on re-entry before grabbing him. A trade to get Ryan will likely involve quality 2nd and 3rd liners going back and maybe prospects, but their combined salaries likely won't be more than Ryans. |

"Bob McKenzie on TSN 1050 said that Anaheim would be looking for a #2 center, Top 4 defenseman, and a 1st/prospect for Bobby Ryan." |

if its internal budgeting, than instant impact players such as depth could be out of the question the canucks just DO NOT have the luxury of giving ANY prospects |
What an intense game between the Red Wings and Lightning. Posted via RS Mobile |
