Higgins is out with injury again. -staph infection that he had in his leg earlier this season may have infected his hand. A swollen hand. Poor guy needs antibiotics asap. Higgins stays behind as Canucks start California road trip'

I'd consider a $4.6M cap hit as a hometown discount.
Still chokes me up that Ehrhoff wanted money rather than a cup. Sure he's an amazing offensive defenseman, but his holes in his defensive game is brutal. I'd take Bieksa over him any day.

thats if everyone is healthy | man. when you look at that, that is one good looking lineup! that 3rd line has so much potential. i could see booth and mayray being swapped around too with kes/mayrays chemistry and thats still a fantastic line up. either way, we've got 2 very solid secondary scoring lines with the ability to put up more than a couple goals each every night.
im actually pretty excited for our team moving forward if everyone stays healthy.

Letting Edler go will be a huge mistake. I'm sure everyone in the organization will realize that. He's in his prime and will only become better as time passes.
As for the grit/size factor. I'd like to see Raymond exchanged for some size. It's frustrating at the same time knowing that keeping Raymond might be the better option at the moment. At the same time, it's hard to find someone reasonably cheap and can do the more than Raymond currently.
We're so tight on cap, unless we move a guy like a Lu or Ballard, there's not much room to work with. Overall the team, i'm pretty happy with offence and defence, we've got a lot of depth
I guess you can never have a "perfect team"
As far as forwards goes, our 3 biggest players are Kes, Higgins and Coho? (I think)

I don't think the issue is whether GMMG will resign Edler or not
Biggest issue is whether or not Edler wants to stay and take a hometown discount Posted via RS Mobile |

I assume when people are talking about toughness and grit,
we're talking about players that will drop the gloves and win fights, lay out momentum changing bodychecks,
and not stand around when a teammate gets knocked around, etc.
Size does help... but the players need the mentality or "skill" too.
