I wonder how this will effect how referees call games...because he clearly has a rep. |
^ of course we will get more games in our favor, hes one of the most respected guys at what he does. |
Exactly. The guys asking why CoHo isn't playing much - this is the reason. He needs more time to grow and fill out more. Quote:

Cody has filled out quite a bit since he was drafted as you can see from the picture. If you ever seen him and some of the other Canucks in person, he's already bigger than Raymond, Hamhuis, Tambo, Hansen and Burrows. He's put in a lot of time training in the gym. Like I said before, my opinion is that the issue with Cody right now is that AV just doesn't trust young skilled players like he does the young grinders, who he allows to make more mistakes, giving them a longer leash, whereas young skilled guys like Cody, Shirokov, Grabner, etc.. get planted if they make 1 mistake. Not saying AV is a bad coach, but that's just his style, different coaches have different type of players they favor. Only thing I'm not a fan about AV is that he is one extremely stubborn individual. Cody's just going to have to come to camp and show AV he can play the way AV wants and gain his trust. The good thing is despite his setback with the back injury and sitting in the pressbox, anyone who has spoken to Cody can attest he remains very positive and confident he can be a difference maker for the team here. |

Yeah, im also hoping Cody can play wing instead of center. Maybe itll give him alil more freedom on the offensive side. How awesome would if be if we had Hansen - Lappierre - Torres as a 4th line though |
^ Do you even know what you are talking about? Sure lets demote arguably one our hardest working players to the 4th line. Thanks coach. Hansen has locked a 3rd line position. |
Hansen is a good 3rd liner, but would be probably be one of the best 4th liner in the league. Take Lappierre for example, he played exceptionally well in the playoffs as our 3rd line Center, but this season hes gonna be our 4th Line Center. How is that any different? Its called having a balanced lineup. Its a Coaches dream to have that much depth from your first line to your 4th. |
