yeah, i'm sure the doctors who diagnosed a slight concussion at the hospital are faking for her too... are you serious?
No doctors were cited in the article. I'm just looking at it from an outside perspective.... There's always people looking for attention, I'm just being cynical.

The family told the paper that Herger suffered a "slight concussion" from the incident, but that her benign brain tumor "was not impacted by the hit."
obviously I think the actions of that shark fan was despicable and uncalled, I'm all for some bickering and ribbing but there is no need for violence. When I read about the story though and how she got concussed, I just knew there would be people going crazy about shark fans being classless and blah blah blah so I'm glad to see a few people here realize one bad fan doesn't make a fan base. I know its not much but from the sharks blog
"The only thing I’ll add is that the Sharks are reaching out to the girl’s family.
“We have made contact with the family about hosting them at a future game,” said Scott Emmert, the team’s director of media relations. “An invitation has been extended to come back at their convenience.”
jeering and heckling the opposing teams fans can be done in good fun, some people just need to give their heads a shake when they cross that line though where it gets uncalled for

Some rinks can be worse than others. The year before, there were 2 dudes with Chicago jerseys on in Vancouver for the playoffs. Can't remember if it was game 2 or 5, but in the end those 2 guys needed security to escort them out or else a fight might have broke out in the stands. During the game, saw them in the washroom and there was lots of trash talking between those 2 guys and all the Canuck fans.
Try looking up "montreal canadiens fan being heckled in the washroom"
There were quite a few stories from the 2011 Stanley cup finals when Canuck fans went to Boston to catch games 2,3 and 5.

i remember that guy haha thought he was so cool walking up and down the burrows lineup in his boston shirt
this one dude made a dash for him when he walked passed, pretending to rush him and then like 45 minutes later he came back with a hoody over his shirt
It's the drunk asswipes that ruin it for everyone.
They are the fans that drink a little too much and become too involved in the game to the point of violence.
There needs to be a policy where they kick out the drunk bums out of the games. It's only a matter of time during the game, that they will hassle the other opposing team's fan. From tossing popcorn to beer, these idiots need to check themselves.
It doesn't help when you have other drunken fools joining in the "fun." Bullies when they're drunk, plain and simple.
There's a fine line between heckling and arguing with opposing fans.
If I saw the guy wearing the bruins shirt at the burrows thing I'd call him a goof the first time I saw it, that shit is just ignorant Posted via RS Mobile
