I'll hold the thought......... either way, no skin off my back. I just keep watching the Canucks, win or lose. I've already forgotten most of last season. It's another year with no Stanley Cup. Par for the course - been that way for 40+ fucking years. At least the Leafs and every other fricken Canadian NHL team has won the cup.......... oh wait, there's the Jets. Actually, they'll probably win the cup before Vancouver, LOLOLOLOLOLOL.
One can only laugh about it. This is why I don't make fun of the Leafs, Canadiens, Senators, Oilers, and Flames, even though I hate most of them.

Last time the senators won was in 1927, before the Canucks entered the league. The Leafs had also won before the Canucks had entered the league.

Calgary Flames forward Rene Bourque has been suspended five games for his elbow to the head of Washington Capitals forward Nicklas Backstrom during Tuesday's 3-1 loss.
The incident happened in the third period, and Bourque received a two minute penalty for elbowing. Backstrom stayed in the game for two more shifts, but was unable to finish the contest.
Bourque was suspended for two games last month for a hit on Chicago Blackhawks defenceman Brent Seabrook.

nothing is black and white really, and money obviously has a large say in any business. Referees work for the NHL. Lets say Gary Bettman (count chocula) holds your child hostage and threatens to kill him/her with an overdose of chocolate if you dont comply with his demands and call a phantom hook.

The Leagues way of silencing their critics is through fines. Torts got 30k.
Remember Burrows vs Auger? He got fined too when he openly brought this issue up
It's similar to a communist state not letting you voice your opinion.
Their reason is they dont want the integrity of the league to come in question with the general public.
Maybe they could have a formal way of making complaints? But of course the league will just brush them off.
Their basically damned if they do and damned if they dont

That was such a fucking dirty play. He b-lined it to Gilbert and didn't even look for the puck/play.
yeah, i think 10 would have been more appropriate. at least there was instant karma and carcillo's leg was also injured on the play. i was happy to see the oilers score immediately on the ensuing 5min powerplay.
