after getting blown out 9-0 in their last game, and losing their last 3, Calgary maked a blockbuster trade with Tampa today! They sent Brendan Mikkelson to TB in exchange for powerhouse forward Blair Jones who has tallied a whopping 2 goals and 2 assists this season!

I'm watching the highlights from last years SCF..

The series changer was either the Rome hit, or when Edler's stick breaks in the beginning of the second period in the third game, leading to a Ference goal.

Definitely the Rome hit

Although I thought Luongo deserved the game,
Schneider isn't a bad choice either. Schneider may get more opportunities in the future,
but let's just assume he will be with Vancouver longer, or at least stays in the west conference.
It might be a long while before he plays in Boston again.
Although AV's reasoning sounds weak, based on Schneider being a capable goalie as well, there wasn't a wrong decision.

And for those that think it was a coward decision... :fuckthatshit:
This is just a game for 2 pts. Nothing more, nothing less.
Redemption is overrated, especially if it's a team from the other conference.

lol, if we're injured, that lasts more than one game.
A 9-0 lost is just 2 points gone.

Wrong. It was when Hamhuis got injured, then both Edler and Ehrhoff got injured. When your best d-man is out for the series and then your next two best d-men get injuries as well you're toast. I can confidently say if none of those 3 got injured we would have won.

Shieeet let's not talk about could have would have
If we played him and played more of him and less of this and less of that
Fack its depressing
In the end we didn't win. Period

They better not show any Stanley Cup highlights during the game tomorrow.. Especially the part where Boston lifts the cup :fuuuuu:

I'm still recovering :okay:

spideyv2 01-07-2012 02:16 AM

Mind you edlers stick break led to tue first goal of the game...which led to an onslaught

Better skip the intro then

They definitely will show you clips of the SCF.
Media wants to hype this game up as much as they can.
And given it's in Boston, they're gonna rub it in Canucks face as much as they can.

But I'm pretty sure the Canucks' goal is to treat this like any other game in the regular season.
There's 2 points up to grab. That's all this game is about. That's how I see it as well.
Putting any more emotion or stake on this is just a waste of energy.

dinamix 01-07-2012 03:33 AM

can't wait for the game. I got my alarm set for 10..lol

This. Crippled defense and a headcase goalie are what cost them the cup.
