So you are saying they played really good games against Tampa and St. Louis then? Firing on all cylinders and all that?

although most of us break down each game and point out the flaws and negatives of our game play. at the end of the day, a win is a win.

I understood what you meant, Debbie Downer, LOLOLOLOL.

The Canucks eeked out a few wins and could have easily lost them.

A win is a win, but the 'Nucks have not played their best or with consistency. Anyway, looking forward to Tuesday's game and more of CoHo.

jeedee 01-15-2012 08:32 PM

I find it ironic when the Canucks dominate games, go on a winning streak, SkinnyPupp is nowhere to be found in this thread.

But when they lose a game, or struggle, Debbie Downer arrives.

Not really racist! 01-15-2012 08:36 PM

anybody wanna do me a favor and find a pic of these two nhl players from opposing teams with their arms around on eachothers shoulders while there teammates duke it out in a fight?

if anybody understood that lol. thanks
i cant find it :(

spideyv2 01-16-2012 01:16 AM

meh, we need to step up our 5 on 5 play..can't keep relying on the PP to win games

punkwax 01-16-2012 05:37 AM

^ Agreed. Look how that worked out for us during the SCF.

some years they appear they want to rebuild, and some years they try for that last minute cup run when they have nothing.
like when they acquired tanguay and jokinen, they were playing pretty bad. they finally managed to dump jokinen, but ended up paying full price for the garbage they got rid of :lol
although bourque isnt panning out and projected so far, if they plan on building for the future, they gotta keep some more young guys.

idk, maybe i'm just looking at this from a weird perspective...

They have never been in rebuild mode in the last few years, even though many Calgary fans have hoped they would. But even now, they are still trying to make the playoffs, so they're stuck in mediocrity of always just missing the playoffs and not getting any good draft picks.

RT @sportsnethorn: @DougMaclean just mentioned the #Canucks may be close to acquiring enforcer George Parros from the #Ducks
mmmmm, I like Parros, but he's pretty useless other than fighting. Rather the Nucks try and get a Chris Neil, Shawn Thornton type, but those guys are hard to find.

Since my Sabres are crapping the bed hard this year, Gaustad I think would be one guy the Nucks should look hard at that might be available. Can fight, great leader/locker room guy, very good defensively, chip in the odd goal and can play regular 3rd/4th line minutes effectively.

sonick 01-16-2012 10:31 AM

Parros vs Garrett moustache-off.

7seven 01-16-2012 11:10 AM

Getting a bunch of tweets asking me about possible Parros to VAN deal. Can tell you ANA and VAN have not had single discussion on Parros.

Ronin 01-16-2012 11:35 AM

Totally stupid trade. Don't get an enforcer. Get tough guys that have a little hockey sense. I like the idea of getting Gaustad but I doubt that will happen.

Canucks were stuck in that cycle for years.

Kesler frustrated. Unhappy with AV!

AV tells Kes to use wingers more often.

Kesler quote "I don't know what he (Vigneault) means by that, if he wants to say that then he can come talk to me about it
