can we safely assume that calling up tanev would signal that salo would most likely be out for a long duration?
personally i dont think sulzer is very good, same goes with alberts. rome is too on and off when he plays. it's like he flips a switch and decides if he wants to play better tonight or or not

TSNBobMcKenzie: Late with waivers today but NSH claims Brandon Yip from COL. CHI's McLean clears. FLA puts Michael Repik on and CGY puts Brett Carson on.
Canucks probably had no space/use for him, but would've been nice to see Gillis pick up Yip, local kid. Had a decent rookie year but has failed to continue.

Horrible skater and no skill, Avs fans have wanted to lynch him for the last couple years.

Having only 1 person to pass to actually closes up lots of plays. And when you are constantly worried about getting trapped and letting a 2-1, 2-0, or breakaway going back the other way, the natural tendency is defense first and to challenge the other team to attack you and cause a turnover and send the play up. But of course they are thinking the exact same thing as me.
With 3 on 3 OT for NHL, you may think teams would just go for it since they don't have the point to lose. But if you cough the puck up or get trapped, you are going to look the fool for losing your team the game. I think in the minds of players, a loss is still a loss, regardless of whether you get the extra OTL point or not.

Luongo has a much bigger sample size... he has allowed 65 goals in 195 attempts. That's big enough to assume that is his true rate, whereas we don't know what it would be for Schneider. Who knows, Schneider could very well be a much better shootout goalie and increase his percentage significantly over the long term.

I'm pretty sure the players on the other teams are bashing the Canucks directy, not their fanbase.
I don't think players really give a crap about how the other teams' fans are like.
