^I sure hope so..hearing all these rumours about where Hoff will sign and how he's done with the Canucks is depressing..

SkinnyPupp 06-29-2011 06:42 AM

Also, instead of focusing on Air HOFF's 50 points last season, consider what he did in the playoffs points-wise...

At least it shows that Drury has some class. Gomez and Drury are probably one of worst signings in recent memory, $6M+ for 60-70 point guys?! Almost forgot about Redden at $6M+. Seriously, how does Slather still have a job?!

The above 3 in the top 10 worst FA signings haha.

I didn't know Gillis had a "slimy" reputation.

There was talk that Nashville improperly filed the QO to their RFAs, making Weber, O'Reilly, Kostitsyn, etc.. a UFA, like what happened to Chicago a couple years ago with a couple of their players. haha could you imagine.

12 points in 23 games from a dman is impressive

murd0c 06-29-2011 09:28 AM

The would be beyond awesome if that happened

7seven 06-29-2011 09:31 AM

actually it looks like Weber wasn't affected

NSH players in question include S Kostitsyn, Spaling, Halischuk and C O'Reilly as well as three minor league players.
NHL says it is not aware of any issues, NHLPA is still saying they investigating. So it sounds like some of the NSH players complaining to their union that they did not receive the QO on time.

He's a former agent, and a lawyer. They are all slimy. That's what makes him such a great GM :fullofwin:

SkinnyPupp 06-29-2011 10:07 AM

You know the cap floor is fucking up the league when Tomas Kopecky is signing a 4 year $12 million contract :fulloffuck:

Lets break it down.

GM 2 vs CHI - 1 Assist. Daniel Sedin 1 (power play) (Christian Ehrhoff, Ryan Kesler)

GM 3 vs CHI - 1 Goal 1 Assist. Christian Ehrhoff 1 (power play) (Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin) / Mikael Samuelsson 1 (Henrik Sedin, Christian Ehrhoff)

GM 4 vs CHI - 1 Assist. Daniel Sedin 4 (power play) (Christian Ehrhoff, Ryan Kesler)

GM 1 vs NAS - 2 Assists. Ryan Kesler 1 (power play) (Christian Ehrhoff, Daniel Sedin) / Ryan Kesler 2 (power play) (Mikael Samuelsson, Christian Ehrhoff)

GM 2 vs NAS 1 Goal. 2 Assists. Christian Ehrhoff 2 (Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin) / Alexander Edler 2 (Ryan Kesler, Christian Ehrhoff) / Ryan Kesler 3 (power play) (Henrik Sedin, Christian Ehrhoff)

GM 1 vs SJ 1 Assist. Henrik Sedin 2 (power play) (Christian Ehrhoff, Ryan Kesler)

GM 2 vs SJ 1 Assist. Raffi Torres 2 (Christian Ehrhoff, Jannik Hansen)

GM 6 vs BOS 1 Assist. Henrik Sedin 3 (power play), Assists: Daniel Sedin, Christian Ehrhoff

If you look at it, he got most of his points by playing on the PP with the Sedins and Kesler. If our Art Ross(s) / Selke are producing, he produces.

I rather pay the $5 million to Edler who wasn't offensively productive in the playoffs but he was a beast out there hitting everything that moved.

I've already started seeing articles discussing a possible labour stoppage when the CBA expires. The cap floor is higher than the salary cap when the new CBA was started.

Does anyone know how bad the lineups are at the team store sale?
I heard 20% off all jersey's and 40% off all 40th anniversary stuff.

Gh0stRider 06-29-2011 10:58 AM

CBJ trade for rights to Montreal D James Wisniewski. Give up a 7th rounder to montreal.

If you didn't lineup 30 mins before the store opened, no point in going.

If you're going just for jerseys in S, M, L don't bother. Only XL and above left

I remember some time last here Hoff was interviewed by GermanTV during the Olympics that he wanted to finish his career in Germany so that his daughter could go to school there. I believe his daughter is two years old right now and she's probably going to school at 6. So obviously making as much money as he can in his last 4 years as an NHL player is his priority, in my opinion. I guess it is quite understandable as he does have a family to support.

This is just some insider info from German media.

The Preds have filed arbitration for Webber so he is safe.

Paul Kariya just announced his retirement

i dunno if it's just me, but the argument that guys need more money for their family seems a little moot. is your family really going to feel the difference between you earning $4.5mil vs $5.5mil?

if it were my father in the NHL, i'd much rather him be happy with his career than worry about any extra cash he could pick up along the way.
