I remembered I have a copy of the game on DVD. Not high def or anything. My son couldn't watch the game, so I recorded it for him. PM me if you want it. It's just gonna sit there on the shelf.

To be honest, it doesn't look that bad in the replay...
Just one of those freak accidents.

But, still hope he's okay

fuck sakes Claude Julien said it was Mcdonaugh's fault because he was going in off balance and that Ferrence was protecting himself

:seriously:

Mcdonaugh was pretty solidly planted and is lucky he he was because if he was off balance he might be dead at that speed!

And ya, Ferrence was protecting himself the same way Chara was protecting himself against Pacioretti. With a good shove from behind in a dangerous place.

woob 01-21-2012 03:36 PM

We need shit like this in the NHL All-Star Game.

@ 7:07, after Kes' goal, I could imagine Higgy saying, "YUNO pass to winger? TROLOLOLO!!!"

krazynuck 01-21-2012 05:33 PM

I forgot to upload the Fight from the Boston Game

I recorded it at the game...so it is a bit loud...might want to turn down speakers for this one

Makes you feel like I was back at the game watching this

wow... how many more times are they going to use that pathetic excuse for their cheap shots? the boston commentators are fucking idiots too. trying to justify it the entire time.

0:48 Boston commentators: "Not sure if he get's him by the numbers" :rukidding:

Just goes to prove that they're borderline clinically retarded.

FUCK Claude Julien, and every cheapshotting coward that hides behind his 'protect yourself' bullshit.

Reminds me of the bullshit excuse the US gave to justify going to war with Iraq: claim to be protecting themselves by fighting over there so they don't have to fight them here.

Not really racist! 01-21-2012 08:27 PM

"Our players are generally clean" - Peter Chiarelli

Was at the game today, that 2 min stretch at the end was awesome. We had a sharks fan around, he was good sports and it was actually pretty fun hearing him taunting everyone lol

FeistyBearH22a 01-22-2012 01:45 AM

Beauchemin extended his contract with the ducks. I was hoping we could trade for him. :fuuuuu:

devin setoguchi had an extension with the sharks and we all know what happened there lol.

taken from another forum regarding philly and the carter and richards trades

Nice piece this morning by Sam Carchidi on Philly.com, taking a midseason look back at The Day, June 23:

Inside the Flyers: Flyers' return on Richards and Carter trades looking better and better | Philadelphia Inquirer | 01/22/2012

One of the highlights, looking at the raw numbers:

"Here are the players' numbers heading into Saturday night:

Richards: 14 goals, 12 assists, plus-3 in 40 games. Average ice time per game: 19 minutes, 15 seconds.
Simmonds: 13 goals, 13 assists, even in 46 games. Average ice time: 15:46.
Schenn: two goals, two assists, minus-6 in 18 games. Average ice time: 12:34.

Carter: 10 goals, seven assists, minus-9 in 30 games. Average ice time: 19:57.
Couturier: 10 goals, eight assists, plus-16 in 42 games. Average ice time: 12:31.
Voracek: seven goals, 20 assists, plus-4 in 46 games. Average ice time: 16:24.

Totals for Flyers' acquisitions: 32 goals, 43 assists, plus-14.
Totals for Richards and Carter: 24 goals, 19 assists, minus-6.

The Flyers' acquisitions have combined for eight game-winning goals; Richards and Carter have zero game-winners."

Remember the cries of most everyone on June 23, and basically all summer:

"How in the world are the (insert expletive here) Flyers going to replace the scoring of Richards, Carter and Leino?!?"

Usually followed by:

"That (insert expletive here) Holmgren, what an idiot!"

Yep. How'd that work out?

Good read, go check it out.

b0unce. [?] 01-22-2012 09:51 AM

the carter/voracek deal was a steal for the flyers.

highfive 01-22-2012 10:01 AM

Keep in mind it wasn't just scoring. Philly lost their top two centres. Who's going win faceoffs for them in the playoffs?

Currently, Philly is 27th in the league with 47.8%. Compare it to Vancouver who's 7th with 51.9%

RiceIntegraRS 01-22-2012 10:20 AM

Also both richards and carter have been injured this season.
