^those kids are NOT turning into veterans. They're turning into OLDER younger kids...
Depends on what you consider a veteran. I'm not talking 30+ yo players who are on the decline and have not much more than leadership to offer. By the time they are eligible for UFA I consider that to be a 'veteran', they've been around the NHL game long enough to no longer be considered kids, and should be nearing or at their peak.
Hemsky was a 19yo kid when he joined the Oilers and he's now almost 29, I'd hate to see their 'recent kids' turn into a group Hemsky's. Cogliano was drafted in 2005, Gagner in 2007. They aren't far off from maturing into seasoned veterans.
I Stand with the Catholics in the fight for Religious Freedom.
"In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up."

I'm all for sharing your beliefs, but Thomas putting it all out there has the potential to create a sideshow and distraction for the whole team.

At least unlike Carter he managed to get himself a $40 million contract.

Since his Whitehouse snub on Jan 23rd, Boston is 2-4... You can't deny that Thomas' non-sports related comments are a distraction to the team.

Points wise, Ehrhoff is on pace for 38 which isn't bad at all and on a team that isn't producing.
Granted I don't actually watch the Sabres games so I don't actually know how well he's doing.
Calling him an Anson Carter is a bit too much tho.
Sabres are my team, I watch them really closely so I'll comment. Ehrhoff hasn't been bad, he has been pleasantly more responsible in his own zone this year then ran into injury issues. Also didn't help at one point the Sabres D was decimated by injuries having to play 4 AHL Dmen at one point so he hasn't really found chemistry with his D partners.
Actually this season has a disaster with at one point 9 regulars injured and out of the lineup. Vanek, Stafford, Miller, Ehrhoff, Regher, Ennis, Myers, Roy, Gerbe, Leopold, Hecht, Boyes, Leino, Sekera,Weber have been among the walking wounded. At this point I know the season is lost and just want a top 5 pick haha
possibility of Schroeder making his debut if Henrik and Weise is out
Quote:
With the status of Henrik and Weise in doubt for Thursday’s game and the Canucks having no extra forwards on their roster, it seems almost certain that the team will recall a player or two from its AHL farm team in Chicago.
Centre Jordan Schroeder could possibly make his NHL debut. Schroeder, Vancouver's first-round pick (27th overall) in the 2009 draft, scored the winner in Tuesday's 2-1 Wolves' win over the Houston Aeros.
