Oh well, got a point out of it.

spoon.ek9 02-26-2012 01:33 PM

What a fucked up ending. Dallas stars should buy the refs a round of drinks for the two points they just stole.

Garbage icing call and garbage OT effort

cliffhanger33 02-26-2012 01:34 PM

yeah gotta admit, our OT effort was terrible

bballguy 02-26-2012 01:35 PM

lol @ pple complaining about the icing call...you weren't complaining 3 days ago when the same thing happened in our favour against Detroit.....

cliffhanger33 02-26-2012 01:38 PM

well,we just made it harder for calgary to fight for the last playoff spot :troll:

JDął 02-26-2012 01:38 PM

Pathetic defensive play. Edler had the angle to CRUSH the Dallas forward behind the net, instead he played it like a pussy and let the guy skate all the way around and make the play. Salo looked completely lost in front of the net and did a great kneel and stick sweep play. Good effort  Seriously, Salo is done and will be a liability in the playoffs if he doesn't get injured, again, first.

We didn't steal a point. We got a point stolen from us.

Canucks just started playing sloppy from the last 20m. It wasn't Luongo's fault but he was so-so tonight as well.

Kesler despite having a goal is still sucking IMO. Getting caught up in his own individual battle (with Daley) and leaving his team high-and-dry on the OT.

Sedins not finding the back of the net again... and the Manny Malhotra miss that turned into a Dallas Goal (but hey, he's good at face-offs).

blah, quite a few things need adjustment. I would love to see an upgrade from Malhotra on the trade deadline if possible.

We didn't get that icing call because one of our guys refused to play the puck on the neutral like Robidas did. At least I don't think so.

cliffhanger33 02-26-2012 01:43 PM

Robidas didnt even give any effort to chase the puck. he took a slow ass roundabout way to chase a slow moving puck. Higgins knew it was icing, if he didnt he wuda chased it and got it before Robida's bs effort

MG1 02-26-2012 01:45 PM

bottom line......... we got a point.

The fact of the matter is that, the same way there shouldn't have been an icing call in this game, there also shouldn't have been an icing call in that game vs Detroit. Yes, maybe this was more obvious, but they still both shouldn't have been icing...

Which means he should have gone hard for it to keep Robidas honest. Never give up on any play - go hard. More often than not, hard work pays off.
