kind of doubt that. would be massive underpayment by the leafs. to top it no news on twitter or anywhere else. no post on hfboards either
leopold is washed up in my opinion and rather weak.
schenn while he has huge upside has been pretty close to giant disappointment. he constantly gets walked around no matter what side he plays. to top it off burke would probably ask for schnieder + for him.
jvr- i just dont think hes a player we need atm
Leopold kind of like Ballard but don't know wtf happened to Schenn. Maybe playing with the Laffs fwwked his psyche.

Maybe MG won't do anything if prices are unreasonable.
forward
ott/david jones/knuble/pahlsson type of player.
we basically have 3 lines of offensive players already. playoffs are more bang and crash, garbage goals.
preferably
ott - good at d,pk, faceoffs. loves to hit and fight. can definitely chip in offensively
pahlsson - hes been deep in the playoffs, won the cup, he can shutdown top players.
defense
zanon, allen, hannan.
these guys have all played the top 4 role before for an extensive time. they are shot blockers and solid d. all better than rome imo and should be able to get the puck out. hal gill was the player i was really hoping for but nashville went and got him.
[QUOTE=cressydrift;7810871]Luke Schenn is a liability.
Guess he got benched for plays like that. Haha.
Sometimes when there's no confidence, chemistry or continuity players just look bad. Look at Bieksa when he's not with Hamhuis or Edler without Salo. Haha.
Shit just saw his contract...4.6 mil.

Still undecided about Ott. Lapierre/Malhotra can/suppose to do that.
Knuble +. Jones/Pahlsson not sure.
Liking the D picks.

ducks are 6 points out of a playoff spot and making a huge push to make it in (7-1-2) in their last 10
why would they trade away getzlaf, one of their best players, at this point?
ok since jeedee failed me for saying getzlaf is not worth it for those 3... care to explain why?
Because you are talking about irrelevant shit that we concluded, a page ago, was a false report

They wouldn't...That's why we came to conclusion it was a fake account that reported it...

My point is for the playoffs you need more people like that. Also malholtra and lapierre can do it but not as effectively. The more people you have like it in the playoffs the better because after an 82 game season if you have guys crashin people into the boards the other team is gonna wear down. When you are playing every second night in a heightened atmosphere you want guys like ott. Posted via RS Mobile
Steve Ott's name is getting thrown around a lot but do the Canucks really need another Center/Pest player?
What they need to do is stock up on a couple heavyweights so opposing teams will think twice about taking liberties on our star players in the playoffs. Obviously these guys won't play every night but they will be an upgrade over our existing "tough guys" like Dale Weise.
Andrei Kostitsyn to Nashville for '13 2nd, conditional '13 5th
Big fail by Sportsnet already, in a rush to beat TSN to break the trade, they reported AK for the rights to Radulov This after Bob McKenzie 1st reported AK traded to Nashville but hasn't confirmed the return yet.

And now we know it is for a second rounder and a conditional 5th.
