Fighting for the 8th and final playoff spot is really stressful. I guess this is what happens to the players? |
I'm gonna miss the salmon Posted via RS Mobile |
Learned about Coho trade at work after lunch. Then I felt like http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/...5623696829.jpg Posted via RS Mobile |
My reaction when I first head about it at school was more of this: I legit screamed NO out loud in class http://i1.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/...23/untitle.JPG |
At first I was like "Kassian? Cool. Good luck in Buffalo, MayRay." Then I was like "WAIT. WE TRADED WHO?" |

Kassian has a scoring touch and is great at cycling the puck. If you remember the WJC where he played, he was a beast. He's been compared to Lucic, Neely, Tkachuk and Bertuzzi. Power forwards generally take some more time to develop, but in a system such as the Canucks he might thrive. He will be given every opportunity to succeed and I foresee him playing on the second line to start. Look at it like this, where is the grit/sandpaper that is proven to be needed to win the Cup? Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Booth - Kesler - Higgins Raymond - Hodgson - Hansen Bitz - Lapierre - Weise With that lineup, it's pretty much dependent on the fourth line. We would get run over in the playoffs. Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Booth - Kesler - Kassian Higgins - Pahlsson - Raymond Hansen - Lapierre - Bitz/Weise This lineup adds grit from lines 2-4. It makes a lot more sense to run with this type of lineup, especially going into the playoffs. It seems a lot of people haven't even seen Kassian play yet, so give the kid a chance. |
At first, my dumbass friends were like: "DID U HEAR? EDLER AND HODGSON TRADED TO NASHVILLE FOR WEBER" And I went :accepted: and told them "ya right, its a fake account reporting that". And it was. An hour later, checked my phone and Bob McKenzie tweeted: "Cody Hodgson to Buffalo" Went :okay: guy the whole day after.. |
I actually kept double checking whether that McKenzie tweet was fake or not LOL |
Man..... What am I going to do with all this Salmon now. :troll: |
kassians gonna play on the third or 4th line guys, no point rushing him into a bad situation on the second line. hes just gonna grind people down for the rest of the year with pahlsson and higgins/hansen |
Actually excited/curious to see how it will turn out tmr :lol |

we can arm chair GM all day long but in the end. gilly has done a good job thus far he fixed the sturm one right up with the booth pick up. in gillis we trust |

If Gillis sees something in Kassian AND dealt Hodgson for him, he has a damn good reason for it. |

Yeah ppl at CDC made this trade sounded like Hogdson was traded for some big 6'3 grinder. I thought the same originally but the videos showed a lot of skill as well. There's a Gilman video at Canucks.com, he said they were trying to acquire Gragnani last year at the trade deadline too. So it seems like Gragnani wasn't someone thrown into the trade but was targeted as well. |
You guys see the shots on goal for tonight's Rangers vs Devils game? Rangers 14 and Devils 13. No, that's not just after one period of play. Those were the total shots after 60 mins. Kinda hard to believe when have shooters like Gaborik, Kovalchuk and Parise playing. Wonder what the record is for fewest shots in a game is. Posted via RS Mobile |
