As much as I love the canucks, I really hope CoHo lights us up this saturday
Sorry, but you don't sound like a Canuck fan,
you sound more like a huge Hodgson fan.
I am too disappointed to see him moved, but I am
a *much* bigger fan of the team than I am of any
individual player - and as a huge Canuck fan, I will
*always* want what's best for my team, over any
one player. As such, the last thing I want is to see
any opposition player come here and light the Canucks up.
Like I said, I was disappointed seeing Cody traded,
but as an actual *Canucks fan* I want my
team to win, and I want to see Kassian have a huge
game against the Sabres as Cody - and his team -
get shutdown. That's what a fan of the *team*
should want. Cody is no longer a Canuck... Best of
luck to him, but Kassian is a Canuck now, and that
means as a fan of this team I want the guy who's a
Canuck now to be the better player.
Anyone actually wanting to see Cody succeed at the
cost of this team, is less of a fan of the team than they are of the individual player.
I've rambled on long enough, but I'm just sick of reading posts from people wanting Kassian to fail, that he's the next Pyatt/Isbister/Bernier and how this trade is the next Neely2.0 / Stajonov/Naslund trade.
A true fan always puts their team
ahead of any individual player.
I think you've beaten this shootout topic like a horse already. If I have to read 5 more pages about spinoramas or Raymond being in the shootout......
It's 5 pages plus because for people who thought that X or Y move is infallable, their world is imploding and it's redifining how they think "hockey" works as whole. Similar to what people must feel like when they discovered the world was not flat in those days.
I'd give 'em some patience. And yes, these kind of fans are abundant among us.
