Although the moves Burke made after that were just as stupid. Giving Bertuzzi 4 mil, and Schneider 6 ?! The guys an idiot, and overrated.

Off topic but can anyone tell me what happened to Paul Kariya and the Ducks that caused such a big fall out between them?

The pace of the game is not the same where as 5-10 years ago. It is sad he left.. a point per game player... future hall of famer i will miss you |

Then he broke his word, took a paycut and signed with Colorado because he thought he had a better chance there what with Selanne going there too. Glad that my boys won the Cup in '07 without that backstabbing goof.

I remembered reading that the Aquilini family has $3-5 billion of wealth. Far more than McCaw. Plus I'm sure there are plenty of wealthy buyers willing to buy the Canucks.
2010s is not 1990s, Vancouver is a much larger city. Our corporate support is much stronger than it was before.

True, during the NDP years, our economic environment was not suitable for much corporate growth.

how did this turn from not overpaying players to losing a decade of games to doubting ownership's ability in keep the franchise afloat?
these r sort of the last things i would be thinking right now
