[QUOTE=7seven;7501068]Not surprised, apparently Gillis only offered him the same salary as last year. Hansen interviewed by a Danish newspaper Are you sure they're not referring to his QO?? |
@DarrenDreger Darren Dreger Tomas Kaberle agrees to 3 yr, $12.75 deal with Carolina!! Done. @DarrenDreger Darren Dreger I'm hearing Keith Yandle has agreed to an extension. 5 years, $26.5 mil. |
Hansen will get something like $1.3-1.5. $2m is way too much for him, really but I don't expect the Canucks to walk away unless it's ridiculous. A 50% raise is about right. He's a 3rd line checking wing...$2m would put him too close to MayRay and Samuelsson who have 20-30 more points than him. |
$2m = Burrows money Burrows > Hansen |

:lol except that Burrows is really worth like $3mil at least. |
KABERLE INKS THREE-YEAR, $12.75 MILLION DEAL WITH HURRICANES |
would it be an insult to anahiem fans if selanne were to sign in winnipeg for 1-2 season? |

Some players like finishing off their careers with the team that drafted them so I don't think it wud be an insult to Selanne as you said. First of all, it would be his choice to sign with the Jets if he wants so I don't think he would be insulted to play for them lol. He's won the cup already. Though, I wanted to see Kariya and Selanne again with the ducks but too bad he retired :( |
iirc selanne's career best was with the jets. |
Selanne has already gone on record he has no interest in signing with the Jets or any other NHL team, its either Anaheim or retirement. He considers himself a Duck only and absolutely loves living in California. |
I just hope his surgery goes well. He at least has two more years left with the way he ended last season. |

It seems the arbitration system is flawed if they only take one side of the spectrum. |

just wished it would maybe get a little better..... |
Konopka is off the market. I was hoping the Canucks would get him for some size and grit. Plus he's another top-5 NHL faceoff man. Manny (61.7%) + Konopka (57.7%) + Kes (57.4%) + Henrik (52.0%) = puck possession ownage off the draw. Lapierre is 46%. |

Only the bandwagoners and retards change their tone every time the Canucks play. Win = I LOVE THE CANUCKS!!!! Loss = TRADE AND FIRE EVERYONE |
People on here were bashing MG last season for not making any moves? Didn't he make 3 significant signings last year on July 1st? |

i like how hardly anyone here cared about kaberle signing. i also like the fact that boston wanted nothing to do with him after winning the cup lol. |
Not really a fair comparison. Burr signed his contract when the salary cap was $10m lower so naturally, his salary is less than the stupid ones signed these days where even marginal players get millions. I would've loved to get Leino on the Canucks but no way in hell for $4.5 million. Burr is worth about $3m, I'd say but not much more. He'd be worth $4m on a short term deal but around $3m for a longer term. $4.5m would put him way too close to Kesler's salary, which is looking like an ABSOLUTE STEAL now at $5m for a 40-goal Selke winner. |
