6:20 in the vid with Vigneault and the hand on Kassian's shoulder, at 6:45 you can see it again, haha!

Just sayin | Anyone that mentions the Canucks "saving themselves for playoffs" every single fucking time they're losing a game deserves to be failed. Brah.
Anyways, nice to see a come back effort last night. Higgins has been really good all year. I wouldn't be surprised if he won Team MVP this year..

Except Higgin's goal scoring is still streaky like it always has been in his career.
But his effort level and grittiness is awesome! I don't think anyone including the coaching staff knew about this when they picked him up.

May Ray is stepping up his game. AV's benching of Mason was a wake up call.

But his effort level and grittiness is awesome! I don't think anyone including the coaching staff knew about this when they picked him up. | They did. Or else they wouldn't be stupid enough to trade for him. Gillis has a pretty good record with acquisitions.
Higgins played like this during his first couple seasons as a Hab. There was talk in those seasons by the Habs media that they were looking at the future Canadiens captain. He scored almost 40 points in his first two seasons (CoHo numbers...) and 50 something in his third. I remember because my cousin in Montreal would rave about this guy.
I won't talk about Kassian here because I don't picture him as a captain of a team. He doesn't seem like a leadership guy, especially since he has a history of crossing the line. CoHo on the other hand, you can see leadership all over that guy. That doesn't mean Kassian won't be as good or even better of a player but they fit different roles.
So if we kept CoHo, next year he scores another 40 points and then in his 3rd, he scores MayRay numbers (Raymond has 50+ points in his previous contract year) and like many Canucks, leads by example.
Except imagine if CoHo hit and played a grittier game. Wouldn't you think that guy is your future captain when the Sedins retire?
That's the Chris Higgins that Montreal drafted but for whatever reason, he had a very bad 4th season and was dealt to NY in the Scott Gomez deal. Just so you know how bad that deal was and how stupid Montreal is, also in that deal was Ryan McDonnagh, who is one of the most underrated defenseman in the league.
Then he went to Calgary...and who could blame him for being terrible in Calgary...and Florida...same as Calgary. Dude hasn't been in a winning environment since the Habs and he's turning it around with the Canucks. Doesn't have the scoring touch he used to but guy plays with heart.

i think the message is clear for mayray: if you suck and we can't make use of you, you're sitting in the press box this playoff season.

I'm not sure it's even mathematically possible for the Blackhawks to drop to 7th due to all those teams fighting for the last two playoff spots probably having games left against each other.

If the Hawks lost 4 games in a row, and either The Coyotes, Kings, Sharks, or Avalanche won 4 consecutive games, they'd have overtaken the Hawks for that sixth seed. Considering the Hawks lost 8 in a row a couple months ago, this is very possible. Especially without Keith or Toews.

Playoffs are coming. Where would I find Canucks flags (car flag sized) on wooden stick handles?
I am not looking for car flags as they ruin my window pastics, I am trying to buy a light weight flag and mount it with my car antenna.

So yeah, I guess it's definitely possible, but of course extremely unlikely to happen.

I just hope we don't get LA first round
But I would predict that LA finishes in 7th and San Jose finishes in 8th...

I have a feeling it will be SJ who we will end up playing.
But it will be against Antti "Mr. Rebounds" Niemi over Johnathan "Not so" Quick. lol
I still remember that chant from a few years back. Not so Quick!

San Jose and LA play home-and-home against each other to finish off the regular season......That could possibly force one of them out of the playoffs allowing Phoenix to get through.
San Jose has a tough remaining schedule playing LA twice, Dallas twice, Anaheim, Phoenix, and Colorado.
LA has a relatively easier remaining schedule playing Edmonton twice, San Jose twice, Vancouver, Calgary, and Minnesota.
Phoenix plays San Jose, Anaheim, St. Louis, Columbus, and Minnesota...
I think LA will get through for sure and I think the winner of today's game between Phoenix and San Jose will ultimately decide who gets that final spot.
Calgary plays Vancouver twice, Dallas, Anaheim, LA, and Colorado, so I don't think they stand much of a chance.

So yeah, I guess it's definitely possible, but of course extremely unlikely to happen. | the hawks do have a pretty tough schedule, I beleive they have nashville, st. louis, and new jersey, but they also have 2 games with minny in there so I doubt it, I think 1 or 2 wins pretty much swings them away from that tier battling for 7 and 8.
