Man I love the way Schneids talks, very articulate, doesn't stutter, doesn't pause often, and knows precisely what to say so as to come across as humble and respectful to his teammates. Just a stand up guy. It's gonna suck when he inevitably gets traded

Hopefully we win a cup before then.

My buddy and I almost got into a fight with a couple of drunk idiots on St. Patrick's Day. This fat idiot was coming back to his seat during a play and then just stood up in front of his friend to talk to him. We told him to sit down and he got all tough about it. The guys next to me told him the same. A couple of girls behind me told them to sit down too and he spat some...uh...comments at them. At this point, our entire section is angry at them.
They sit down and shut the fuck up for the third. By the time the game is almost over, they pull the same shit and so we yell at them again. Guy pushes me in the chest but he's pretty hammered, it looks like so I just tell him dead serious that he doesn't want to do that again. I was pissed at this point because I had spent probably a good 10 minutes of game time dealing with these assholes. I was going to let him take a swing at me so people would see then push him over the backs of the seats in front of him. But I guess he saw how many people in the section were yelling at him so he backed off. Cops came at the end and took them away.
Fuck St. Patrick's Day...and seriously, fuck drinking at the Canucks game. I've never understood why people drink at hockey games. I go to the game to watch...y'know, the game. Not to drink lukewarm $14 beers to the point where I can't see the puck like an American or something.
Actually, the problem with St. Patrick's Day isn't the drunkenness. I'm all over drinking too much beer but it's the assholes that use the day as an excuse to get drunk and act like assholes.

Agreed. I see Rogers Arena selling beers as "get rowdy and cheer for the team" when a majority of those people end up being douchebags instead of 'fans'.
Beers are always better AFTER the game, whether they be for celebrating victory or drowning our sorrows. When I'm at the game, it's all about hockey. I don't like going to the game or even sitting with people that don't love hockey...which may explain why I've gone to fewer Canucks games in the last two years.
You guys know you can enjoy a few beers without getting stupid right?? Again, don't let a few drunken idiots create the image for everybody who drinks a few beers while watching hockey.......and you can easily drink a few beers while still paying full attention to the game....I do agree with you that there are people at the game who drink too much and lose focus on the game, but I don't think you should let those people create your image for everyone at the game with a beer in their hand...
Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with having a drink while watching the game. I only have a problem with people that go to the game just to drink. I've seen more than just a few people that spend the entire game looking at their friends and talking and drinking rather than watch a second of actual hockey.

Are you kidding me? Nobody goes to a game "just to drink." That's a pretty fucking expensive watering hole.

They do. I sat next to two white guys who looks like construction workers acting all tough and keep on drinking. I counted they had 2-3 beers at pre-game and at least 2 every period. They were swearing and screaming for the first two periods. Harassing their neighbours when kids are present.
Thank god someone called security and the two douchebags got kicked out.
Not every fan is like that though. But they do exist.
I don't think they literally "go just to drink" but they just start too fast and it gets carried away quickly. These are usually the idiots who ruin parties and don't know how to act in public overall. Same thing happened at UFC in Japan.. All these drunk idiots screaming for no reason..
Season ticket holders sell their last game tix to help pay for playoffs...they don't care about these last games, so we get the bottom of the barrel, shithole degenerates that usually can't come to a game, buying tickets and causing problems
The only problem I have is when I have a beer in my hand that is reasonably full and the nucks score and trying not to pour it in the person in front if me lol
Anyone watching this Pittsburgh/Flyers game? Line brawl and Laviolette and one of the Penguins coaches were chirping, both got tossed. This may be an unreal playoff series.
