So would I...but thats probably way too far from their demeanor. I would like to see them deployed on the PK. We'd probably lose a lot more games in the regular season while they get adjusted to killing penalties, but it may be worth it come playoff time.
Even Joe Thornton was killing penalties by the end of last year. I think he also led the league in giveaways the year prior, but had improved significantly this year
i agree, it's a risk we must take to keep them in the game. having them sit on the bench for long stretches has not helped at all. this tweek will pay off come playoff time.
i have total opposite thinking of putting the Sedins on the PK. Of course the Sedins have really good strength and conditioning but the Canucks, mainly the Sedins have owned the 3rd period cause i believe that there alot less tired the other stars on the other team. What the Canucks have managed to do well last season was manage everyones icetime very well where no one on the team is overworked too much.
Plus i dont wanna see the Sedins blocking or getting hit by any slapshots
^ that's a good point but what happens when we have one of those games where it's PK after PK after PK? 5, 10, 15 mins where we can't seem to stop taking penalties? it happened quite often during the season and it just kills their momentum. our top lines need to keep coming in waves to tire out the opponent. in the finals, for a variety of reasons, the canucks became a one line team again. there was no sustained pressure.
really, it all goes back to not being able to roll all 4 lines. when the only scoring threat is the sedins, the team will more than likely lose despite how rested they are from not killing penalties.
Well theres pro's and con's for the Sedins to PK, but AV does use them on the Tailend of penalties though.
Oh and heres some interesting stats about Luongo from last season. And i know its alll about the playoffs, and how well u do there, but i just wanted to show that Luongos regular season was basically on par with Thomas's
Sorry I am not sure how much extra they want....can't help ya on that :/
Jayson isn't at the place during Saturdays (heard he only drops by to pick up stuff from time to time....so most likely your jersey won't be worked on till Monday)...only the guy from the luggage store is there. so you might wanna shoot a quick email to him, he is pretty fast with his emails and usually replies you first thing in the morning, or at the end of the day.
