There's not been much talk about Norris candidates here so far. Who would you vote for? You can't pick a Norris winner by point production alone for the league's best d-man, but the way Karlsson has put up numbers this year makes you think about his contributions. Karlsson has absolutely owned every d-man and the majority of forwards in points and offensive production, but defensively has a ways to go yet. Weber and Chara are perennial favourites because of the completeness of their games, but is it enough to make up the 25+ pts (more than Mayray has all season for perspective) to Karlsson? Campbell and Pietrangelo have stepped up this year also, but I'm not sure they would make the top 3 this year. |
Schneider confirmed to get the start tomorrow. Lu will finish the regular season on Saturday against the Oilers |
Weber does it all; He's my pick for the Norris Trophy. Quote:

I remember when that song first came out lol |
IMO: Hart: Malkin Norris: Weber Calder: Landeskog Selke: Hmm, probably Bergeron/Datsyuk/Backes Vezina: Lundqvist |
karlsson will win the norris. he's got 77pts in 79 games, +19 and is one of the two reasons the sens are even in the playoffs. spezza being the other. if you look at where he ranks in most categories points: 1st +/-: 13th toi: 9th. toi really is what helps his case as it shows he isnt being hidden from many things. his defence has actually been pretty good this year too. the only other defencemen that really sticks out are chara who is 2nd in points, 1st in +/- and 13th in toi. but due to the system they play i dont think he will actually win it. then weber who is hurt by the fact suter plays/played with him. |
once MAG plays enough games to designate him as an RFA he'll be stapled to the bench/press box Reinprect, bitz, etc. will take his spot, no need for huge defensive liabilities |

How many more games does gragnani need to play? |
i think its only 1 otherwise he'd be a UFA |
If he plays 1 more game [out of the 2 left this season] he'll remain a RFA. If he doesn't play 1 more game, he'll become a UFA. |
would anyone happen to have a pic of the guy with the "one more year back in winnipeg Sellane" sign from last nights game? |
Good game between Detroit and St. Louis. Thought they wouldn't be able to catch up after the short handed and the 4 on 4 goal but they ended up tieing it and winning in the shoot out. Great goaltending on both ends. Detroits first line just lit it up at the end of the third. |
nice comeback by the wings... |
Bertuzzis backhand is money |
