Senators signed Lee Sweatt.

Senators sign D Sweatt to one-year two-way contract

I thought he was our property? Did he become a UFA last season?

You sure you want to pickup used gear? Stick is ok I guess. Going to be overpriced pro-stock with no warrenties.
Ther other stuff is a little too personal for me to use someone else's used gear.

Thinking about popping by during lunch. I'll report back in a few minutes.

all depends on the condition of them. I hear they have some stuff that's pretty new, used for a couple of practices. If it's pretty new and well priced I might do it.

I find it more interesting that Gillis traded for a guy (Duco) that spent all playoffs on his Twitter mocking the Canucks, Luongo and calling the Sedins divers lol.

Just my 2 cents
I don't necessarily think AV or the organization didn't give Shirokov a chance.

Its the fact he's wanted to play his career in Russia--not North America. That's why GM's aren't confident in drafting Russians (in the later rounds) as they never want to play in NA.

I look at the trade this way:

The Canucks had no future in Shirokov as he sets his heart in playing in Russia. With this information, we get something out of him (Duco) for free. Basically Florida traded Duco to us for a bag of RUSSIAN pucks.

Can't really blame AV. Didn't Shirokov came into camp and failed in some of the conditioning criteria?

The trend seems to be we want players to focuses in staying fit and be withing the levels of condition. Anybody who fails to keep their fitness level up will be sat out.

OMG. What a waste of time.
Used Sedin and Burrows sticks $250.
Brand new sticks $200.
Other used sticks $150-$200 depending on who.
Older sticks like SOB's One95's are $100-$150.

There is a lot of crappy old sticks.

Used skates for $200+ for RBK 11K's or Totalone's.

I think they wanted $250 for Kesler's old skates.

Used goalie pads and glove/blockers.

Old gloves, 7K pro-stock chest protectors.

Game worn jersey's with some discount over new price.

Didn't see any of the really good stuff like in the years past. Maybe I went too late though. I was debating on some 11K's, but Malhotra is a 9 1/2 and I wear 7 1/2-8's in the RBK's.

I think that was the first year, when Shirokov thought he could just walk onto the Canucks team from day one.

That sucks... So I'm guessing all the stuff they advertised for <$100 all sold out right away then.

Yup. If you're not a season ticket holder and didn't line up early don't bother going.

They get access inside 1 hour ahead of the public and buy ALL the $100 sticks that everyone wants.
