Heathkit, of course - my Grandparents lived right behind the place :) Actually, it started out as a Heathkit kit that didn't work, and somehow I ended up with it stripped down to just the two components.

Jon Quick is a good goaltender, but he can't score and this is what this team lacks. Lots of you say, be careful, their sleepy stars MAY wake up and starting lighting it up, but that's a lot of maybes and what ifs.

Wow, Canuck fans have more faith in the Kings than there own fans

Coldplay concert at Rogers Arena happening on the 20th, and 21st.

bballguy 04-08-2012 10:00 AM

Clippers too.

Durrann 04-08-2012 10:07 AM

No Saturday games for us

fliptuner 04-08-2012 10:11 AM

Yeah, they were talking about it on 1040 last night. If they didn't do it that way, there would've been a game where there would've only been a 2hr turnaround after a basketball game and back to back games in LA then Van.

civicyvr 04-08-2012 10:14 AM

Awesome game yesterday!! B2B PT winner and the more importantly home ice advantage!

Would have preferred SJ since games against LA has been gritty and hard fought against them recently. Quick can throw a monkey wrench in the mix especially if the party boys decide to show up.

Caps. Their guns need to step up, because its very thing past that.

Keep in mind, Boston can light up the weak blueline easily

This would be a seven game serie if Vokoun wasn't hurt since Backstrom and Green are back after injury.

StylinRed 04-08-2012 10:32 AM

:awwyeah:

was watching the game and fell asleep by the 3rd -_-

Tim Budong 04-08-2012 10:35 AM

I think that is actually more complete overreaction over the last 2 SJ games more than anything, I recall the stat popping up during the game, the Kings were 85-0-5 or something like that when leading after 2 periods, and then sharks came back twice in the 3rd so its fresh in their minds. The scoring thing if I recall since they got jeff carter they have been in the middle of the pack so I dunno if you can still call it a problem.

murd0c 04-08-2012 10:49 AM

I'm so excited for the real season to start. It's also nice to be heading into the playoffs being so healthy this year

Liquid_o2 04-08-2012 10:52 AM

Can't wait for Wednesday to come!!!! So excited. Going to the Blue Jays game during the day, then start of playoffs at night, so pumped.

Home Game tickets going $70-$525

Kings have a pretty good history and a solid fan base, so it's not like some of the newer markets where you're gonna get tickets for a case of beer.

jeedee 04-08-2012 11:09 AM

Sigh... looking at the Kings ticket prices compared to the Canucks depresses me :lol

Blah_Teggie 04-08-2012 11:11 AM

Congrats to Ghost for winning RSX!

Even The Onion likes the Canucks: Top NHL Playoff Contenders | The Onion - America's Finest News Source

Top NHL Playoff Contenders

Hockey's second season, the Stanley Cup playoffs, is upon us, and Onion Sports breaks down the top contenders.

New York Rangers: Should be in for a dramatic playoffs, both because their game is built around goaltending and because they'll be playing home games at the Metropolitan Opera House

Vancouver Canucks: Their fans will brutally murder the children they have taken hostage if any team beats the Canucks, so it looks like smooth sailing for Vancouver

Boston Bruins: Last year's champs may go down early, since they know winning the Stanley Cup isn't as great as everyone thinks

St. Louis Blues: Second in the West with 107 points, though they came in 107 overtime losses

Florida Panthers: A strong third seed, tenacious on the forecheck, and dangerous in transition, but we're sorry, there just shouldn't be a damn hockey team in Florida

Los Angeles Kings: Goalie Jonathan Quick leads the NHL in shutouts, which is great for him, but very inconsiderate to fans of the other teams.

Pittsburgh Penguins: A sure Cup contender, barring the inconceivable possibility that someone figures out some way to keep the invincible Sidney Crosby down

Detroit Red Wings: Has great home-ice advantage thanks to the strong support they receive from their fan base and the begrudging support they receive from those dating their cute fan base
