I know we are all in playoff mode, but I found this pretty interesting. Luongo is 16th overall all time in shutouts during the regular season. Most of any current goalie with 60 (Nabakov has 52 i think). He manages to get 16 more in the span of his career, he will crack the top 10. |

As you already stated, he is just the 16th goalie in the history of the NHL to have reached 60 shutouts. He joins a list that includes names like Brodeur, Sawchuk, Hasek, Belfour, Roy, Esposito, and Jacques Plante. Luongo has played 727 games so far...Patrick Roy played 1029 and had 66 career shutouts. Luongo just needs 7 more to catch him on the all time list. If Luongo can keep averaging 4 shutouts a year for the next 3 seasons...he will be right behind Tony Esposito who had 76 career shutouts and be top ten all time. Luongo is already tied for 2nd all time with Bernie Parent for wins in a season (Brodeur had 1 more). As well, Luongo surpasses Hall of Famer Gump Worsley for all time wins in the NHL and is 17th in history. He'll need another 17 wins to pass Rogie Vachon. 2 more 30 win seasons and Luongo will surpass Dominic Hasek and a slew of others, and move in to the top ten behind Chris Osgood and his idol Grant Fuhr. There's a strong statistical chance that Luongo becomes just the 11th goaltender in NHL history to have 400 wins. |

^This has already been discussed; let's move on... |
^ yeap, shutouts now are way easier to obtain than before, I think everyone on this thread thinks of niemi as an avg goalie at best right, well he has 19 shutouts in the last 3 seasons over 167 starts lol, same with wins, back then they actually had ties, now its we will have a damn skills competition if need be but someone going home a winner. |
|
^lol, didn't see all the FFVII characters until closer inspection. |

Anyone know where Sean Avery is and if he is currently playing? I was just watching youtube highlights and haven't found any information on his whereabouts lately. |
I just assumed he was in ny... Maybe in minors. Couple buddies of mine legitimately think it will be a rematch of '94 Don't know how I feel about that. |
