one of the best playoff pump up vids I've seen so far for this year

Surrey is going full-steam ahead with large-scale public celebrations for this year's Stanley Cup playoffs. Mayor Dianne Watts says the city will bring back the large-screen viewing sites that were seen last year, at Central City Plaza and other sites. As for any planning changes in connection to what happened on the streets of downtown vancouver?

"No, we have put measures in place and we continue to have the same operational protocol... so nothing has changed in that regard."

Watts adds costs to the city are largely minimal.

This one always pumps me up:

mb_ 04-09-2012 10:25 AM

“@benkuzma: #Canucks top line re-united - 22, 33, 14. It's also 21-17-7, 20-26-36, 27-40-34.”

fliptuner 04-09-2012 10:39 AM

21..wtf?

I guess they won't take Higg off the 3rd since they're producing. I wonder how Bitz would look on the 2nd line.

spoon.ek9 04-09-2012 10:43 AM

i guess they'll give raymond a chance... i hope there's a short leash for him though should he not produce anything useful.

JDı³ 04-09-2012 10:44 AM

So fucking jacked for the playoffs this year. Watching the video RB posted just got me so cranked, especially watching that bitch Lucic punch Burrows in the back of the head :swear:

spideyv2 04-09-2012 10:46 AM

Raymond is a good back checker, and he's also a solid PK'er..but FFS, it's brutal watching him play in a top 6 role

Makes some sense kinda..

Checking line of Hig, Pahlsson, Hansen has been freaking amazing the past couple games

Lapp has been amazing offensively and defensively past couple games too but is back where he usually is on the 4th line..

I'd really only tweak the 2nd and 4th line if need be (scratching raymond) and using Weise for more grit on the 4th and moving one of them up

Give MayRay a chance guys, hopefully he can use his speed and draw us a couple PP to get it going, playoffs everybodys on a new clean slate

btw i pray to god MAG doesn't play a single game in the playoffs unless *knock on wood* our curse hits again

then again im not AV so my opinion =

He got his chance on the 1st line and didn't rise to the occassion. So my expectations of him are very low. If he proves all the doubters wrong, it'd be awesome but he's had plenty of opportuniy and not impressed. Bitz and Lappy on the other hand, they upped their game when given the chance and that's what I want to see.

Gh0stRider 04-09-2012 11:20 AM

gonna be there for all round 1 games...aww yeaaa

^^ I wholeheartedly agree, as would almost any Canuck fan watching the past playoffs and this whole season, but I honestly believe the playoffs are a different dimension. Raymond will be fine granted he makes good decisions and doesn't try anything fancy and then slip / lose the puck and be caught on an odd man rush) Hopefully his injury in the SCF will give him the boost and drive he needs to get his shit together because I'm sure he wants to be in the SCF again and be able to play(aside from the injury)

I'm honestly still waiting for him to blast down the right wing, cut towards the net, shield the puck with his body past his man and then roofing / 5 holing the puck; I'd give him 2 - 3 games to prove himself dependent on the series in terms of W/L

lol when has MayRay ever cut or drove towards the net?
It's more like, do a lap around the net, miss an opportunity to make a great pass, skate to the perimeter, and either slip/fall, or shoot the puck towards the goalies crest.

Dan Murphy ‏ @sportsnetmurph
#canucks 4th line at practice today is Malhotra-Lapierre-Bitz. Kassian, Weise, Ebbett wearing grey jerseys which may mean they are extras.

AV says #canucks Daniel Sedin has skated on his own but wouldn't specify how many times. He also says Kassian is close.

I think I've seen almost all the pump up videos I can, read up on every article and sports blog, now I just need the fricken puck to drop. Anxiety is kicking in.

Not only is the wallet going to take a hit, so is my gut.

bballguy 04-09-2012 12:12 PM

I've just got this hunch that Raymond is going to have an awesome post-season....I don't know why, it's just a gut feeling...
