No chance for Lu on that one...
No goalie would have read a deflection pass off a skate like that... that's just absurd!

This was so pathetic to see... I was thinking
Then he gets up and looks around to see if a penalty was called...
Just play the damn game and if the ref sees something that deserves to be called, he will call it.
Keep this up and the refs are going to stop calling any penalties for us.

What's worse is the fact that if Carter actually slowed down and saw Richards breaking, it would have been a 3 on 2 chance..........
Sigh Kesler.... where's the beast mode; none of this cheap play pls
Edit: Funny youtube comment
"That was more than just a dive, it was a backward somersault with a handspring to a tossed stick ending with a perfect log roll."

The game was fucking brutal. If it wasn't for Luongo, it wouldn't have been as close as it is. The D hung him out to dry so many times.
I sat in 101, I remembered where there were 3 consecutive plays where a Kings player was all alone in front of Luongo. I think he made a pad save and two glove saves during that span of 30 seconds.
The entire team was literally standing and was chasing the throughout the night. Especially with our D. Hamhuis was the only guy who was playing like normal. Salo was did the best he can. But the rest was pretty brutal.
Let's keep in mind we played a forward short for all of the 3rd period.
Also I think coaching staff needs to tell Kesler he is not allowed to shoot the moment he enters the offensive zone. I'm sick of his wrist shot that either gets blocked or easily saved due to no traffic in front of the net when it is a much better play to pass the puck.
They also need to show him video's of Toews again like last year, it seems like he has forgotten all about playing whistle to whistle instead of his constant crying and bitching.
Usually Canucks start off a playoff series by being physical and bodychecking every player in sight. Except for the huge hit by both Booth and Lapp on Doughty, none of it showed in the game.
Confident that Friday will be a whole new game, and we can fix our impression by staying out of the box and quitting the diving/embellishing crap.

I'm just doing a at all the Canucks' fans blaming the officiating and/or Lu for losing game 1. Lu I thought was fantastic and the I have a hard time disputing any of those calls against the Canucks, only iffy one was Kesler's unsportsmanlike for the snow shower but I thought all the other ones where penalties. In fact I thought Lapierre got away with an interference and highstick late in the 3rd that wasn't called, so definitely don't blame the refs, in fact I thought that Burrows goal should've been called back due to goalie interference.
IMO the Canucks' lack of discipline and offense (horrid powerplay) killed them, they just need to refocus for Friday.
Just minutes after their 4-2 win over the top-seeded Canucks and taking home-ice advantage away from the defending conference champions, someone in the Kings organization sent out a simple one-line message on the team's official Twitter account.
"To everyone in Canada outside of BC, you're welcome," it read.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.......shoulda said inside bc as well LOL!
