^i disagree with u on this one. If its earth shattering loud and you're purposely applying extra force to slam the weights on the ground, then there's a problem. But normally when you are doing overload and are trying to get some progressions, you'd basically be using more strength for the eccentric motion if youre trying to purposelly give the plates a soft landing, and thats not what you wanna do when doing deadlifts. Every pro powerlifter can agree with me on that one. Anyhow, if a manager comes up to me and tells me what to do and how to do it, he'd have one less customer instantly haha... If hes gonna put through with that, he's gonna get alot more ab girls than bodybuilders/powerlifters.

I'd agree with you on the noise issue, i'm making my presumption on the way he reacts with the employees. Anyone who acts like that is probably a douche, and probably works out like a douche. My own opinion of course....

ive slammed my weights down a bit before, never had any issues here
