Yeah, it's not on google maps yet, I just looked today. I wonder how you get your business on google maps.

rocksforsale 08-01-2011 12:03 AM

yeah i bet if it was on google and you guys opened til late... :fullofwin:
well you'd have a lot more shrimp rolls to make lol

Culverin 08-01-2011 01:01 AM

You're going to get a bunch of RSers saunter in super late sobering up demanding shrimp rolls. Don't let your sisters take the night shift. But they just might anyways, tips would probably get kinda epic. :p

It would a late night wendy's run for sure.

Just read her blog post on your restaurant (Hoi An Cafe- Vancouver | Trey Eats – All About Food Blog). She's a joke. Key points of interest for a FOOD blog is tasting the items. And not...

"We also ordered the Salad Roll but it looked very normal, nothing different about it than other places I’ve been, so I didn’t bother tasting it."

"I love to drink this but can’t stand how it gets me too wired, so I didn’t try it, but looks refreshing."

"I had a little bit of the soup just to try and it tasted like nothing special,"
- You can't just try the soup...

And lastly, she's a fan of McDonald's and their Filet of Fish. (Mc Ribs are back at McDonald | Trey Eats – All About Food Blog) Need I say more?

I am sorry but people needs to learn how to take criticism. i actually agree on some parts and not on others. The thing about the mi quang is the noodles and the soup, (especially the soup), there is just not enough. Maybe add a little more since it feels so dry till the VERY end.) The salad rolls needs to look different. There is nothing special about it compared to my family friends. It is not bulky, no extra meat, it's just too plain and simple (The rolls aren't that tasty either). The reviewer was quite ignorant though. I was laughing when she didn't try the drinks and some of the food but she is spot on about the rolls.. Again, I will probably get murdered and traced but this is just my opinion.

edit: Maybe the restaurant could change some recipes if there are many opinions about some certain dishes? An open minded restaurant is a number one restaurant in anyone's books

Hi Trey,
I’m the owner’s son, who you may have saw running around in the back. I’m sorry you didn’t have a good experience at our restaurant. The mi Quang noodles is our specialty, it has been quite popular since our grand opening in March and growing. In fact we’ve been in the business since 2000 and this is our 3rd restaurant serving this dish. I apologized if you had a bad bowl!!

In regards to the bun bo tai, yes the only difference is the marinated meat, it too is one of the dishes people keep coming back for. The spiciness depends on how much of that chilli oil we put in which we also have available on each table so the customer can add as much spice as they want.

The salads rolls i agree are normal… there really is no special way of making it special…

Anyways, Thanks for coming to our restaurant its nice to hear the good and the bad! Next time if you ever come again, please try the #2! If you don’t like it, it’s on me!
"

That's some mother-fucking customer service right there. Props to you. Props. :fuckyea:

Special salad roll?

Put a spring roll inside the salad roll (the other way wouldn't work).

Went in at 7 today, since I thought y'all closed at 8. Thanks for still serving us. Finally tried number 1 with number 2 sauce. Delicious. My gf liked my meal more than her bbh.

things change over time always, depends how we feel. Right now, the vast majority of people like the way it is. Or rather most people just eat what they get and they're fine with it.
With the noodles being too dry, certain people will request for more soup in the bowl or a side bowl of pho soup just to sip.
I think Salad rolls are good depending mostly on the SAUCE. salad rolls are just... noodles, shrimp, ham, veggies. Make it bigger or smaller it should taste exactly the fuking same Everywhere. key word.. "should"
