Omfg officially the busiest day ever.... Posted via RS Mobile |
You did well during the lunch rush! :D |
i was gonna head in earlier.. but dam it was busy LOL |
Alright, I ain't shitting on Hoi An or anything... But they're not like OMGWTFBBQ GREAT. What they are is home style Vietnamese food in a commercial setting and for doing that, I appreciate their great efforts. The only reason why ppl say OMGWTFBBQ AWESOME is because the standards are so fucking low in Vancouver (this is the ugly truth). Go to a Vietnamese family bbq/party and you can find this stuff done just as well as Hoi An. I will definitely return to Hoi An as I enjoyed the food (and the view :fullofwin:) thoroughly. Was there w/ BCRDUKES today and we were reminded of a discussion we had a long time ago about how no Vietnamese restaurant that either of us had been to were able replicable authentic home-style flavours. |

yea you're right, I keep asking my mom, why do people keep coming in it's just regular food!! I think it's a few reasons. 1. Mi Quang #1 (no one really sells it and Nammers love it) 2. Mi Cao Lao #2 (no one sells) 3. Bun Bo Tai #3 (rare feel may have a personal opinion that it's mehh but the bulk of our customers are addicted and can't go anywhere else) 4. Modern / Cleanliness (you walk in it doesn't seem like a typical nammer joint. 5. My sisters...... so tired, most of our customers today weren't revscene people too... |

Luckily, it as going both ways. :gay: But srsly. Thank goodness someone was able to bring home-style cooking to the masses. Otherwise, I would have had to relied on my cousins whom I see maybe once a year for good nammer foodz. |

Honestly though, they were nice and polite and don't just throw the food at your table. Unlike most nammer joints i've been to, I actually felt welcome at yours. Also, the food is different :) |
