I hate that sound. iOS5 needs a function to turn it off. I just found out how simple iphones are. There's only 2 profiles, silent and not silent lol

There's also this

Enable iOS 5 Panorama Camera Mode On iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad 2, iPod touch Without Jailbreak | Redmond Pie

My guess is that Apple hasn't perfected these features up to their standards yet so that's why they didn't release it. I assume an official one will be in the next semi-big version (5.1?)

dangonay 11-10-2011 03:59 PM

^ Either not up to standards or there are IP issues to work out so it's not active yet.

BTW, anyone else update iOS today? Haven't noticed any difference in battery life on my 4S, then again it wasn't an issue before I updated.

I don't suggest anyone using this. You have to hit confirm on almost every word before going to the next. Rather than making the words suggestions to choose from, you are forced to select one of them. It greatly slows down your typing.

I don't suggest turning on the panorama thing either. It's crap.

I think he tried to hand carry them.. They probably just put it downstairs with everyone else's luggage

bartone 11-10-2011 11:38 PM

Is anyone getting worse reception on the 4s vs other gens? I upgraded from a 3GS and never had issues in my house with reception and is always on 3G . Now my 4s is pretty much constantly running on edge

you can save your dollar and visit this site from your phone and get the same thing. This is a great timesaver feature though

Speed2K 11-14-2011 10:45 PM

^How is this done and what website?

For those of you who have already upgraded to iOS5, here's a free alternative:

[Updated to v2.0] IconSettings – FREE SBSettings-like toggles for non-jailbroken iPhones and other iDevices! | iPhoneZA | For the South African Apple Enthusiast! | iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and more| News, Tutorials, Reviews, Forums

DanHibiki 11-14-2011 11:26 PM

I'll just wait for a jailbreak to come out. I don't like having icons as shortcuts for those.

Speed2K 11-15-2011 03:46 PM

Okay, I just upgraded to iOS5 and tried this and I must say, it works great! I only set up quick links for BT and Wifi as the other settings I don't change much. Upgrading to iOS5 though took me forever! :P

threezero 11-15-2011 08:49 PM

I'm using this too. Definitely not a replacement for sbsettings. I find myself swiping to status bar for sbsettings all the time.
