just picked up ice gear, when's the next one :fullofwin:

i picked up a complete set of player gear. I wanna play as forward this time rather than goalie just for a change of pace. I will try to see if i can set up another game (or Tj.GSR). i will let you guys know.

alright guys! i will be making a phone call again later today to see what day i can book in an ice sheet. its most likely the same time slot of 7pm to 8:30pm. Although no guarantees i can pull off the same $12 per person since the rinks are getting busier (busy-er). I will keep this thread updated.

nice... im willing to pay 15, easy in terms of carrying change anyways! BTW, hillcrest community centre (the new riley park/where the old olympic curling venue was), just opened and I was lucky enough to be with the first groups to ever use the sheet. The ice is great and it is so new the lines look crystal clear, as if you were skating on glass. They offer 99/hr for first time renters, from what I believe.,

noob question - my skates have been starting to rust..anyone know how much it costs to replace em, or if i should just sharpen them?

If your blades have a little rust on them its fine, it happens. Make sure you are wiping them down with a cloth after play and properly airing out your gear when you get home.

Can't you replace the blades too?

Yeah hillcrest looks amazing... i find that most ice rinks are old & smelly.

Unless you have access to Rogers Arena, or the UBC Thunderbird rink!

Its about 70-80 to replace blades.

alright guys, i got the approval from vignault for wednesday at Rogers Arena...


but seriously,

it looks like i can book another 7pm to 9pm in riley park. once again i need a majority of which day and whos going so i need a list again of who is down. if i get enough ppl then we have a game so list your name in asap and what day is best for you.

Most days should be fine for me. Playoffs start next week for Ice604 and ASHl so that *might* affect availability.

why would you replace the steel if you can just get them sharpened.. the rust is just surface rust and will come off..
