just make sure u have shin guards, chest protector, and all the other protection needed. there will be slapshots and the last thing u want is to be on the receiving end of that.

There should be a vote on slapshots or something. I'm sure some of the noobs do not want their heads taken off, aswell as people who cannot afford to be injured. Its not going to be so epic if someone has to leave in a ambulance. I dont think it will hurt the game that much.

In regards to slap shots.. I really don't think it's going to be a big deal. No one in pick up is there to take off anyone's head. The guys that are capable of taking hard slap shots are probably decent and understanding players, they're not going to just tee off with 5 guys in front of them. Especially since this is just an RS pick up game, i'm sure no one is coming to this to injure anyone. Anyone who's played pick up before know's that you don't rub anyone out (or make hits), you don't play dirty, and you don't tee off from the point when there's a crowd in front of you. And if anyone who is signed up does anything stupid like that, RS Beat Down Crew has your back..

slapshots are essential in a hockey game. Like MX703 said, no one is there to take anyone's heads off and im sure no one is dumb enough to take a dive to try and save the puck... on a pick-up game! Unless your getting paid millions of dollars, i really dont think its worth "taking one for the team"

I've stood up against slapshots. Any player is just as smart in front of the Puck as the person shooting. Man up, its not that bad

Just dont take them if theres 5 people in your way, or if you don't want to block it, get out of the way. I think that goes for any kind of shot though....
