When I first got my phone, only time it was off before unpacking it for use LOL

I wasn't thinking of the "always on to be in touch" aspect of leaving your phone on all the time.

I'm thinking of how reliable phones (as embedded devices) are where they can be left on for extended periods of time and still work without slowing to a crawl or locking up (**cough** desktop PC's **cough**).

never off unless for an issue.
always silent or vibrate

Whenever WebOS 1.4.5 came out ... Which was apparently last June, so over a year ...

Yeah see I used to turn my phone off all the time until profiles became available. Now mine automatically flips to it's 'evening' profile after work and it's 'late night' profile after bedtime so it won't disturb me with emails when I sleep. And then turns itself back onto normal alerts after my alarm clock goes off in the morning. Hell it even knows the difference between week days and weekends. I never have to turn the thing off any more.

Depends on your usage and also what time you wake up/go to bed too...lol

EDIT: Using NoLED doesn't help the situation either

Every day when I swap batteries at work, I never get a full day out of one battery

Eclypz 07-27-2011 03:49 PM

my Blackberry 9700:
- reboot required everytime i install/uninstall an app (I still get a kick out of this whenever it prompts)
- atleast a battery pull every 2nd day or so because something F-ed up like it freezing, or it suddenly decided to stop notifying me of alerts.

My android phone never needs to be rebooted due to a malfunction (unless i f-ed something up like setting my CPU voltage too low..but that's user error)

Now that I think about it, I've never turned it off. Just let it die when it was low on juice haha.

Yup. In fact android can also change profiles based on your location too. Although its a big battery drain.
