Big thanks to ForbiddenX for the group buy for the Blackvue. I got mine this morning and have a couple of questions for the people that own one.

How do you read the instructions? Nothing is in english and I can't download the copy of the manual from their website. Anyone have a copy of the english version?

Sorry guys there aren't any extras for the cameras nor has anyone backed out since they're almost all paid for.

As for the manual:
English manual: Blackvue
Firmware: Blackvue

The firmware will change it to an english voice instead of the korean one

^thanks again ForbiddenX. I did manage to download the manual using IE instead of Chrome.

I thought I heard it talking to me in Korean but wasn't sure. Thanks for the links.

Have you guys got an alternative to power the Blackvue besides the cigarette lighter? I'm not electronics/wiring expert but can I just snip off the cigarette adapter part and hook up a T-Tap and run it off my fusebox on a 12v source? And for the other wire just bolt it to a ground.

This one maybe?
I use a Kingston class 4 on my gopro with no issues whatsoever even on 720P @ 60FPS.
I wouldn't bother with a class 6/10 especially with these dash cams

Anyones dr400g heat up quite a bit while using it? Not due to the sun heat, but the device itself seems pretty warm.

I am thinking about still getting one

I already emailed the same guy and

We need 10+ people to get it to be about $185-$187 USD
However there is no stock until Feb 13/14th and the guy is already back ordered 15+ units

If we get 10 people....

ForbiddenX how did you collect money? Just through paypal or did you collect cash from peoples...????

Yea it's a little on the warm side. From what I found online it's normal for this unit.

Few thoughts on the device: good video quality, accurate gps, runs warm, easy to set up/use (including the update to ENG firmware), includes 16GB micro SD card which is nice of them. Power cord was so long that I routed it from my center dash, behind the drivers side trim, into the trim of and through my A pillar and to the rearview mirror with lot to spare.

Double sided tape on the holder is a pain. Lightly touched my windshield and wouldn't come off; just a heads up.

Thanks for setting it all up Forbidden!

Anyone know of an On/off switch for the cigarette lighter? i.e. an adaptor with a switch on it

My car's 12v is always on regardless of whether the key is in or not. So right now I'm having to turn it on and off via the camera which is kind of a pain when its tucked behind the mirror. Would rather just flick a switch every time I turn on the car

go to a hardware store or radio shack for one of these

splice the wire itself and just connect the negatives and positives

Can someone send me the firmware upgrade for the DR400G?

I tried the link from ForbiddenX but an error message keeps appearing when I try to download the file.

To be exact, I need DR400G-HD_v1.037E(2011_1130)_Setup.exe

Thanks
