Oh man so lame
I've been digging through posts here and there and they all say 16gs are problematic
Samsung 16GB sucks. Samsung 16GB is class 6. Compatibility is not as good as Samsung 32GB class 10. Pittasoft 16GB is a different story. I sold almost about 100 piece now. Nothing happened to a stock pittasoft 16GB. Did you use samsung 16gb sd for your cell or camera as well, meowmeow? You can send it to the factory to exchange another one tho.But the shipping is kind of killing you. So you can go to NCIX get a class 10 Patriot 32GB. It is only 20 dollars.

Nope havnt used it for phone/cams...but I think I'm just gonna go buy a new sd card
Thanks for all the inputs & responses everyone
I'd thank you all but I'm on mobile :/
Yeah the Samsung one that comes with the unit is kind of iffy! I replaced it with an ADATA 32gb class 10 and no issues. The stock 16 works great as a USB storage drive

From all the research I did before I bought the BlackVue some two months ago, a couple of things were quite clear, as far as problem solving the card issue was concerned.
Decent quality SD card is a must. Class 10 recommended.
Most reputable card manufacturers format their cards properly, but why take a chance?
Install latest firmware update.
BTW, my BV came with a Pittasoft 16gb class 10 card. I purchased an Aldata 32gb card from NCIX and have not had a single issue with it. I backup and delete the "record" files almost on a daily basis and have yet to reformat. I use my Macbook Pro - pop the card into the express card slot (21 in 1 Sonnet card reader).
anyone know if I can get a cheap cam like this one for around $50 locally?
although that one kind of looks like the blackvue, in real life it's actually 3-4x the size! There's an imitation blackvue that's similar in size that's called blackview that sells for about $60 on ebay, but I've had some heating issues with it in the sun.
I picked up a Lexar 32GB card and it actually does write 10mb/s Gonna start using it tomorrow. Been waiting for a good brand one for some time now. Most of the other brand doesn't write close to what it is rated at. Class number just means what it is capable of, but it doesn't mean write speed. We all know read speed is faster than write speed. The Pitasoft one I benched write at 7mb/s.
so ive got a PNY 16gb card for my x3000 and never had any issues until today. Well when i first got my card everything was fine..then eventually i started seeing that some footage would not save (when i opened it up on my computer) it showed a picture of a sd card but like cut in half , in color red. Anyways...fast forward a bit and it seemed to have gone back to normal until today when i took the card out from the dash cam, put it into the adapter and plugged it into my computer when it showed "format card in order to continue" so i tried formatting it but everytime i get an error which says it cant format..so now i cant look at the footage on my computer..any ideas? = /
