Witnessed an accident today. Pulled over to the right after to give an officer my info as he appeared 1 minute after the accident. He was just up the road finishing up on a traffic stop when it happened.
Pretty funny how music starts playing right after the crash. Was not intentional at all.

It "seems" like the Civic had enough time to complete the full left turn too.
But given that we couldn't see a wider angle of the incident, know the speed and condition of the road at that time. No one knows.....

According to another witness in the black e90 driving beside the red car, they had quite a bit of time.

I agree, the civic definately could have made the turn as well.

Well, i say it cause if the red car did hammer the brakes there would be some sort of tire squeel.

But it just look like he started braking very late.

civic driver got scared. braked which then caused the accident imo.

you can see the civic come to a complete stop when the driver should have just continued on.

iv seen people mount gopro cameras on their drift cars for recording runs, but iv wondered if they could have the same use for theft prevention/accident proof, they can be used for other things too and their hd and have multiple different mounting styles

I consider getting that one but the power wire is built into the device meaning you have to remove everything when you park your car. I like to keep the power wire at the same place but remove the camera whenever I want to so I passed on this camera. The seller looks like they are trying to hide it

^on eBay it looks like the cable coming from the cam terminates in a jack after a short length, and there is a separate cable going to the car?

edit: oops...typo.

Hardwire to fusebox and theres an optional wire going to an AV output if you want it to.

Why do you need to remove it when you park? I like this design cause its small and discreet not like the other ones with the big ass mounts and huge camera.

I dunno lol i kinda want to get it but i cant understand the product page very well. WTF is a mutations recording?

Judging from the picture it looks like an event or sensor activated recording, not sure though. Specs wise that looks pretty good, but at that price point and the fact that it's a Chinese product it's only fair to be extremely skeptical without seeing some videos.

Depending on the area I park at and the length of time I will be parked there, I may remove the camera for security reason. I don't want to spend $300 deductible for a broken window or damage door handle and lock.

Video quality is pretty good for the price. I do think that it's not true 720p video though, probably VGA or another lower resolution upscaled to 720 HD...

That, or it's just an inferior sensor. Most true 720p HD dash cams I've seen have better vid quality. Still, not bad for $40.

Update on my camera:

Just recieved it yesterday, hardwired it in with an add-a-circuit. Instanly i've found a problem with it. Apparantly it does have an actual battery inside it, but the problem with mine is i've never been able to charge it. Other than that it does record fine, but when you stop the car, if you just turn the car off the last memory file is lost if you dont manually stop the footage. That is a huge disappointment.

Also the time is nice and big in the left lower corner of the screen but i cannot adjust it because it doesnt have an actual screen. I cant adjust it on the computer either because it only stores the video files there. On the manual it tells me to connect it with my in-car DVD/NAV system but that doesnt work either because i dont have any system. What i have to do now is find some portable dvd player or something with an AV input and is portable and try to connect it to the AV cable of the camera to set some of my settings.

Haven't got any worthy clips yet but will get some soon. Other than my somewhat little bugs its an okay camera. Quality in daytime is pretty good, but in the nighttime its very dark and grainy.
