Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc Anyone have any thoughts on this phone? Thinking of possibly getting one to replace my shitty old BB as I want to move into the Android market. I would prefer the GalaxyS2, but buying it outright or moving to Bell isn't in the cards for me at the moment. The reviews online have been really good for them most part, but if anyone actually has used one on a daily basis, I would appreciate the feedback! http://whatsyourtech.ca/wp-content/u...c-gagadget.jpg |
I have one. It's a good phone once you get used to it. The camera is great, I never have to bring my normal camera any more and there is tons of space for your files. I think the SD card that came inside it is like 10 GB. The only down side is that the battery needs to be charged once a day. I'm thinking of going on ebay and buying one of the batteries with a little bit more juice. The other thing it's not as popular as iphone, so naturally we don't get as many nice cases. If you do get an arc, I think I got my case+screen protector at crystal together for like $10 or so. |
Thanks. How is the day to day use of it? In terms of call reception, web browsing, etc. Had any problems so far with it crashing or stalling? |
I was thinking of getting one of these before, but I ended up with the nexus s and its an awesome choice. If you care about keeping the phone updated the Nexus S is definitely the way to go since its a google phone, you'll ALWAYS be receiving updates. The phone doesnt have HD video recording if that matters to you but its quick and reliable, solid build and awesome screen, not to mention a clean install of gingerbread, so no carrier crap, no manufacturer advertising etc. Be warned though, most android phones will get you through a day MAX and will have to be charged every night, unless you dont use it at all during the day. |

Pros: 99 on a rogers contract camera is very good for a phone camera the screen is fantastic thin unique feeling - not an iPhone Cons: I use up 50% of battery a day with light gaming. Like others say its a charge a night. The lock button up top is not as easy to press as the iPhones. Harder with a case on. I put a lock icon widget on the home screen so I don't have to use it Rogers bloatware that you can only get rid of if you root The shell of the phone creaks a little when squeezed and feels plasticy. Since owning a Nokia E71 my handheld preference is with solid feeling metal bodies If you guys need a case I recommend the cheapo 2 dollar case at dealextreme. I have one on and the phone still looks good: Protective PVC Case Shell for Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc LT15i/X12 - Black - Free Shipping - DealExtreme http://i.imgur.com/8Uf4B.jpg |

Oh...:fuckthatshit: |
Has anyone else noticed that their arc is slowing down compared to what it was when we first bought it? Takes quite a while to load my contacts or any other programs. It is really starting to get on my nerves for when I want to make a quick call. |
