Im farming from the warden to butcher. I usually stop by the cemetary kill as many elite mobs as I can find then take the waypoint to the halls lvl 2. Then go into the prison usually by now I already have 5 stacks, then just simply finish the quest, kill whatever boss mobs come along then pop the warden.
Then go down into halls 3 kill whatever boss mobs I can find, then down butcher. Each run usually nets anywhere between 90-110k for me along with the occaisional decent/good rare which I either sell in the AH or give to my friends lol.
Currently at lvl 60 wiz with 32k hp and 11k dmg, I should be good for inferno? Having trouble with diablo in hell mode, fuck our tank wasn't doing his dam job and a guy is holding us back lol

Might want to itemize a bit better. more dps and resists and less hp otherwise that hp is going to be a bitch to regen without galv ward. 27k dps, 300 res, with only 20k hp now and act 1 is a cakewalk. I need to farm it for more hp and res gear without sacrificing my dps for act 2 though. i want at least 400 res and 25k hp so that i can get bout 600 res with energy armor rune. Feels like it might be a better choice than force armor in act 2 but i have to try it out.
This is where things start to get exciting. This reversing of Whimsyshire's music results in a tune very similar to Ravel - Gaspard de la Nuit. Link: Ravel: Gaspard de la Nuit, II. Le Gibet - YouTube
Woah! I decided to tackle "Ondine" first. I was going to use the poems to figure out if there was more hidden things in the game, that could only be found through the use of the poems. The first few stanzas stood out to me.
Specifically, "lit by the gloomy rays of the moon. / And here, in a gown of watered silk, / gazing from my chateau (large french castle) terrace, / I contemplate the beautiful starry night / and the restless sleeping lake" Things just got interesting. A " Restless Beautiful sleeping lake", that is a paradox right? Or is it talking about a river?
You can make out a moon, a soldier who is armed with a shield and something unintelligible. A cross is in the background.
EDIT 1: I don't think that is a cross. I think that is the gibbet referred to in the poem (Credit RMessMann)
It's very gloomy, and reflects off of a "restless sleeping lake". What is there to reflect? Nothing.
This is as far as I have gotten on the treasure trail. I plan on continuing tomorrow by analyzing the other two poems. This is very interesting!
I also sent this to my English teacher. Maybe he could offer some insights.
Original Thread from which I compiled info.
Edit 2: We might have a lead
TLDR: reverse whimsy music and get song, song sounds similar to songs written based on poems that have themes directly connecting to diablo. Begin search.
*edit: While there seem to be a lot of parallels, it seems that this might just be an elaborate Easter egg. I wouldn't write it off the boar just yet as we might see more on it later in time. The reflection in the river seems to be a graphical glitch, as well. *
Another edit: I'm at school right now and I will update the thread when I get back! I have been reading all of your responses so keep them coming! The search is seeming more and more likely after all!
^ then go play diablo 1.. nobody is telling you to buy it or play it. blizzard doesn't owe you diablo 3. just pretend it doesn't exist and move on with your life instead of bitching about it.
also:
- pvp is coming
- servers WILL be stable, its only been 10 days since launch. plus you know how many more people are playing it compared to diablo 1? honestly everyone should be amazed they could get it at 1:30-2 am on launch day. these connection issues will be nothing but footnotes in a few months, nobody will remember it
- really? you beat the game in a few hours? show me your level 60 with a 'few hours' playtime. i dont consider normal mode to be beating the game lol
- i think the music is great.
- whats wrong with the battle net interface?
- inferno not difficult?
just tired of people complaining about diablo 3. its a great game all by itself. it has some flaws here and there but is nothing as bad as people claim it is.
also the always online drm doesn't bother me. i don't live in some shitty hut with no internet and my internet is always on.
ps - you don't buy the game to own it. you just buy the rights to play it.
Been playing D3 for a while. Think i'm gonna take a break. My finger and wrist is starting to get sore. Started playing a game call dragon dogma on the ps3. Fuck this game is awsome.
