The high rollers in the game actually sell their gear for gold and then sell their gold for values higher than 250$/item. I wish I can do that I feel that if I sold all my gear on RMAH I would only make around like $300... But the game after will be a bitch!
I'm just flat out bored with the game now... nothing really driving me to continue to play it as the itemization is garbage, no pvp ladder just the chance to get a bit higher resits or intel on a piece of gear.
^^ its not entirely about wasting countless hours farming items to sell in RMAH and making it as your job.
I find diablo3 RMAH to be a leisure work / time waster. You get off work/school, and your bored out of your mind. You log in and play a couple hours, get maybe 1 piece of item worth selling in RMAH, then you earned a bit of extra cash on the side.
Do not think of it as a summer job. And if you are bored of the game, then you're play a bit too much, take a break ( a day or two). You'll feel the need to just jump in and play an hour or two every now and then as a time waster.
I play maybe 6-10 hours a week because of school and work. I log in and play for an hour and wasted time and enjoy it.
PS: There are a lot out there who are willing to throw money into RMAH economy. When you guys are speaking about LoL skin, friends of mine wasted over 200$ buying skins for all their main characters cuz they enjoy the game. Its not about "wasting money", if some people find the need to spend thousands in game for their enjoyment, they will. And you are here to bank on that by leisurely playing( and selling items on RMAH) and Blizzard gains their profit.
win win win, the idea is going to make blizzard rich.

Here's to GW2 in August.

i havent played in 3 days. logged in earlier today, and could barely force myself to play the 15 minutes because it was so boring. theres nothing to drive me to want to play. yea i'd like to make a couple bucks on the side if theres a nice item or something, but really. theres nothing to the game unfortunately.
I play games for entertainment purposes. I played Final Fantasy for the epic CG scenes and diversity (FF3-FF7 ). I played Assassins Creed because the storyline intrigued me and how it relates to real history. I spent 1000+ plus hours on Counter-Strike because it's against real players so the outcome is always different and there is actually skill involved rather then mouse-button mashing.
I already knew that D3 wasn't gonna last me that long because after you beat Normal mode, EVERYTHING is pretty much the same... but I can't believe I'm bored of it in a MONTH ...
Nightmare - Rinse, repeat with stronger monsters.
Hell - Rinse, repeat again with even stronger monsters.
Inferno - Rinse, repeat, same monsters but now are so freakin' exponentially overpowered they facesmash you into oblivion then force you to pay 50x repair costs post-patch
Now I just log in for like 20 minutes... try to get some of those Achievements (I'm a bit of a perfectionist) ... then log off to play CS 1.6, NHL12 or something heh...
same I just been trying to do the achievements.. have 3390 now.. the belial bad breath one and naked lust is really frustrating tho. I just killed belial 4 times with my barb even tho it looks like the breath doesnt hit me, i still do damage somehow even tho i'm all the way on the side. It's easy to dodge with DH but i can't solo it, and the coop games i join the players arent good enough.. wish i did this before patch cuz staying on the side no longer seems to work.
any idea on what it could go for? i see some shields with the same stats (mainly the mf and res) for like 20 mil. and im thinking thtas probably not gonna happen
I am getting bored of this game...I can face roll inferno with my eyes closed. Upgrades are stupid expensive and small; a few stats here and there....theres nothing to do
If i were you, i'd farm and sell stuff on RMAH for the hell of it.

People on d3 forums wanted to know how I can farm act 3 with so little defence so I made this little video of me killing packs
Trick is to go high dps and blow shit up before they have a chance to inflict any damage
To those who are still farming act 1. Anyone notice the drop rate had been shit lately? Did they stealth nerf the drop rate? I've been getting lvl 53-59 items and very little lvl 60 and up.
