Which is better and in what ways?

Ultra AVX you get to save seats.. thats pretty much it.

I the Ultra AVX. Because you get to reserve your seat so you show up 2 minutes before your movie.

Also, I think the sound quality is better in the Ultra AVX, and while the screen is smaller it's amazingly sharp. I saw Super 8 and Harry Potter at the one in Coquitlam and was pretty happy with it both times.

imax for picture and sound (has a higher resolution projector 44 speaker surround sound to ensure complete surround for everyone)

in terms of movies it will only look better in Imax is the film was shot using Imax cameras otherwise the picturer is just upscaled like Fast5 or it may not even be upscaled hence why it may seem like you get sharper images in ultraavx
also depends if the projectionist has the image @ optimal brightness when it comes to 3D movies (they usually dont though)


ultraavx for being able to reserve seats (5.1 or 7.1 if the theatre is equipped with it or 11.1 when available)
