I've noticed a few dead spots OUTSIDE in Vancouver, though. One being at 41st & Main, just at the top of the hill going east. 1bar/0bar reception. Hope that's remedied soon.

email

coverage@mobilicity.ca

coverage/tech team will look into the weak reception areas and will send out a team to rectifiy reports of weak signals, no signals and other issues.

turn around time is about 2 weeks.

THIS WORKS. Help out the new guys and report it if your in the Mobilicity unlimited area and the RF is weaker then usual.

Vansterdam 10-02-2011 05:39 AM

That's not what they told me. I emailed them about a weak spot in my neighbourhood and they replied back with a generic response, simply saying that there's nothing they could do about it.

I switched to WIND next day, and now I'm at full bar.

If it still bugs you, forward your email to the CEO, let him look after you, but kinda late anyways, since youve jumped ship.

Anyone living in surrey using mobi? How's the reception?? A guy at my work used to have it and he said that it would cut out randomly in so many spots. Whiterock just looks like one giant dead zone...

White Rock actually has a tower up. Its just not shown officially on the coverage map.

So is the area around Horshoebay and Dundarave up in North Van.

Ill just relay as much info as I can here from my sources.

Surrey has probably added 3+ new towers since your guy at work last used it.

FerrariEnzo 10-03-2011 12:29 PM

near Queensborough landing, and its zero bars to 2 max... using the HTC Glacier

Psykopathik 10-03-2011 12:51 PM

Anywhere east of Costco in Coquitlam is a roaming zone

CRS 10-03-2011 02:00 PM

While going up SFU via Gaglardi, I had full/half bar but then once I hit the first bus loop between Convo and WMC, it dropped to no bars.

:(

604Sparda 10-03-2011 02:15 PM

whats the roaming charges like?

20¢/min
$1.50/Mb
10¢ per text

Pay-Per-Use | Mobilicity

It's actually substantially better than Rogers.

^ I was in seattle a couple times last month, turned off background data for other programs and used roaming data just for whatsapp. Sent lots of messages back and forth and some random pictures, and my roaming data charges after a weekend were only like 2-3 bucks.

Pretty nice especially since it lets me keep in touch with people back home.

And with the mywallet feature, I don't have to worry about accidentally racking up my bill with data worth hundreds of dollars. Once the money in the mywallet account runs out, it cuts me off. In my case it's just the $20 bucks I got for the autopayment setup.

The CEO is awesome. I wonder if he answers all those tweets and emails himself though. I once tweeted something with a mobilicity hashtag and he responded :D
